According to Russian media, a British-led operation sought to hijack an advanced Russian jet fighter armed with a hypersonic missile and possibly use it for an attack on a NATO-member state in Europe.
If the hijack had been successful it would have provided the West a treasure trove of intelligence. Particularly if it had been carrying a Kinzhal hypersonic missile, which it usually carries. The West doesn’t have any hypersonic missiles, yet.
Vyacheslav Krevenko, a soldier from Ukraine’s 68th Jaeger Brigade, said their commanders had abandoned them. “We were left to fight with old men and no reinforcements. There was no point in resisting” — he said during interrogation. As with all REAL news the western MSM is ignoring this but it seems that Ukraine has sufferd a major defeat.
Ukraine’s challenge in retaining control of Pokrovsk has been compounded by a critical manpower shortage. Nearly 20,000 cases for absence without leave and desertion were opened by Ukraine’s prosecutor’s office in October alone.
The western mainstream media often doesn’t report Ukrainian losses. Either that or they minimize the extent but don’t be fooled: in recent weeks Ukraine has suffered substantial losses on the battlefield.
The Ukrainian Army has been plagued by mass desertions. In the first half of 2025, 110,000 cases of soldiers going Absent Without Leave were reported. Compelling the authorities to resort to enforced conscription to make up for the numbers lost through desertions
Ukrainian soldiers are deserting at a rate of nearly 600 perday
More long-range Storm Shadow missiles have been delivered to Ukraine. Giving it the capability to strike deeper into Russia and probably thereby prolong the war. While President Trump is also reportedly considering whether to approve the delivery of more long-range Tomahawks
Proving that there are still some realists in Britain’s military high command. Field Marshal Lord Richards claims that Ukraine has been given false hope by its Western allies and cannot overcome Russia. Even with the right equipment, he says, “they haven’t got the manpower”
Pokrovsk was crucial in slowing Moscow’s advance. However, Russian forces have now captured several suburbs, and are tightening their noose around the city. Kiev must now make a difficult decision – between a defensive battle, which would involve heavy losses, or withdrawal.
Are some NATO members taking a more realistic approach to the war in Ukraine?
Britain and France can’t protect their own borders from invading migrants but both Macron and Starmer are ready to deploy troops more than 1,000 kilometers east to protect Ukraine’s borders
