You can look for yourself the state of the war, just look for “map of ukraine war”. The russians have six or seven cities left to take then they’ll be done taking those oblasts. It won’t happen anytime soon. They’ve taken 75% of the oblasts, but cities are a PITA to take, unless you want to do “shock and awesome”. A week, they say, for the city they have surrounded on three sides.

Oh, and jewlensky says 20,000 soldiers are “deserting” every week. Take that however you like, but I wouldn’t call it deserting. I’d guess that most of those are sensibly surrendering to the russian army. That’s what I’d do. jewlensky kidnaps them from the streets, puts them in uniforms, gives them a pea shooter and then tells them to kill hardened russian soldiers. What would you do?
