Moscow Times – May 1, 2025
Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday mocked a new U.S.-Ukraine investment deal as forcing Kyiv to pay for military aid with its natural resources, calling Ukraine a “vanishing country.”
The deal, signed at the White House on Wednesday, was framed by President Donald Trump’s administration as a new form of U.S. commitment to Ukraine in place of direct military funding. Kyiv accepted the agreement as a long-term investment measure amid Trump’s stated goal of reducing America’s overseas military footprint.
Medvedev, a former president and prime minister, as well as one of Moscow’s most hawkish voices since the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, claimed the deal amounted to Washington forcing Ukraine to “pay for American aid with minerals.”
“Trump has finally broken the Kyiv regime,” he wrote in a message on Telegram. “Now, military supplies will have to be paid for with the national wealth of a vanishing country.”
The Kremlin has not yet officially commented on the U.S.-Ukraine minerals deal.
Medvedev also described Trump as battling a hostile “deep state” within the U.S. government and referenced bipartisan legislation that would impose sweeping sanctions on Russia unless it agrees to peace talks in good faith.
“The Republican-led U.S. Senate is preparing to impose more ‘crushing sanctions’ against us. We’ll see how the new administration responds,” Medvedev wrote. “Trump’s ratings have gone down, and the ‘deep state’ is fiercely resisting him.”
The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that the proposed Sanctioning Russia Act of 2025, introduced by Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal, has secured enough co-sponsors to override a potential Trump veto. Graham, a close Trump ally, said the “bone-crushing” sanctions package was likely to face a vote in the coming weeks.
Though once considered a potential liberal counterweight to President Vladimir Putin, Medvedev now plays a marginal formal role in government and has more recently been known for his frequent anti-West tirades on social media.

Lindsey Graham might as well be Bibi’s bum boy. Graham was never a fan of Donald Hitler, and only change his hat when he won the ‘un-fixed’ election. Must be the first US election, ever, since WW2, not to have been slurred as rigged, wonder why that is.
I’ll tell you what is bone crushing. Nazi Amerika gets 90% of its fertiliser from Russia, not to forget many, many semi precious metals which are used by US MIC corporations.
Medvedev does shoot his mouth off, because this is a reflection of how Russian elites, especially those in the military, think about the Nazi West.
Just the other day, a very senior Russian was talking about nuking the UK, which tells us, this topic is on a front burner.
I hope the Russians are reading this. If you nuke Nazi UK, NO ONE, will lift a military finger against Russia. Sure, there will be endless Nazi gob chat, just hot air. The Nazi rats will be scurrying into their drain covers and back into their natural habitat, the swamp sewers.
I posted on Facebook, at the beginning of the Ukrainian war, that for generations the people of Ukraine would be forced to pay for its Zionist, Jewish-instigated war.
Badenough apologises for terrible local election results
as Reform told there are ‘no simple answers’ – UK politics live
but there is
UK PEOPLE WANT THEIR COUNTRY BACK
ALL MIGRANTS TO BE SENT HOME
enough is enough
Putin will take it all + Trumpstein gets nothing .
UK MI6 +Zelensky mafia get nothing .
The “vanishing Ukraine”? Yes, of course, and especially with Russia taking a huge chunk of it and the US and Western corporations and interests gobbling up the valuable farmland and other valuable assets and resources in the rest of the Ukraine, as the alleged “repayment” from the Ukraine for the costly failed proxy war, which the same ZOG powers started after taking over the Russian-friendly government of Ukraine in February 2014.
The unipolar globalist NWO model called for the ending of nation states in order for them to come under the umbrella of a “one-world government” – to control and “own” national resources, and control trade, production and consumption on the basis of the 1992 UN Agenda sustainability pretexts. These globalist powers were backed by the bankster and multination corporate “free trade” and were represented mainly by the governments of the EU, the UK, Canada, and the former US administrations before Trump, including the recent Biden administration. They were also backed by the international socialist movement, and additionally backed by the Francis Vatican administration.
Russia was the centre of some resistance to the unilateral model in not wanting to relinquish its sovereignty rights, dissolve nation states, and bring down borders, calling the alternative “multipolar” (meaning “multilateral”) globalism. However, it is now clear that what is meant by “multipolar” globalism is simply the smaller nations of the world being carved up between the reigning superpower nations, likely as a first to a universal one-world government.
When we hear of Trump supporters advancing the “multipolar” globalist model, what it really means is US, Russian, Chinese, and EU expansionism over the sovereignty rights and resources of their lesser nations on the globe.
Why is there not a third option in which the sovereignty rights of all nations are respected by all nations, and were the model nations are not China, Russia, the US, the UK or Israel, but rather the model is based on the 1950’s UN conventions, and the autonomous governments of each nation are responsible to their own people, and the people in those nations are responsible for the actions and polices of their own governments, of which they are fully in control, and not the superpowers, the international banking cartel, the multinational corporations, or the international socialist movement? The reasons is that the major powers are not really nations but huge economic cartels claiming to own most of the assets on the planet, whose central people simply want to control and own everything and everyone.
A deal is one thing but who or what, company or organisation, is going to refine or produce these minerals. I do believe the Americans are at least 5 years behind the Chinese in this regard. So, are we talking about a 5 to 10 year period before the first profits etc, are made. So, is this deal nothing but a paper exercise.
