The U.S. State Department has accused RT of “running fundraising campaigns to pay for sniper rifles, body armor and other equipment for soldiers fighting in Ukraine.”
According to Secretary of State Blinken, RT is also a “key part of Russia’s war machine” that is engaged in covertly spreading “disinformation” and “propaganda”.
Moreover, Jamie Rubin, who heads the U.S. State Department’s Global Engagement Center, says RT is “a fully-fledged member of the intelligence apparatus and operation of the Russian government”.
It should be noted that these accusations reported by AP have yet to be confirmed.
Nonetheless, as a result the U.S. has imposed a variety of new sanctions on the Russian media outlet.
The charges levelled against RT suggest that the U.S. establishment is now seriously worried about any dissenting views. Hence U.S. has taken action to restrict access not only to Russia’s RT but also to Iran’s Press TV.
The trouble is, while censors can restrict broad public access to the aforementioned websites in the west they cannot prevent individuals from copying the articles and posting from these sites elsewhere on the net.
They don’t even have to be “Russian agents” to do so. They may simply be individuals who are keen to present a broader view of currant affairs than that found in the Western mainstream media. Ed.
US declared information war on Russian media – Zakharova to RT

The new round of US sanctions against Russian media outlets amounts to a declaration of an “information war,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told RT.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken unveiled new restrictions on Friday targeting RT parent companies Rossiya Segodnya and TV-Novosti. He accused the network of being “engaged in covert influence activities… and functioning as a de facto arm of [Russian] intelligence.”
“The degree of aggression with which all of this was expressed is off the scale. I think this is definitely a declaration of information war. It went on behind the scenes through the sanctions policy, but there was no declaration that the Russian media would now be openly attacked,” Zakharova stated.
The renewed attack on Russian media was prompted solely by “jealousy” in the West “because they could not compete” with it fairly, the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said. Washington has provided no actual evidence to back up its allegations against the outlets, she added.
“When they say that’s because RT is doing something wrong in the US, if it violated at least one American law, if at least one fake was a sign of some kind of global information campaign that RT is conducting on the territory of the US, if even one RT correspondent had engaged in illegal activities, and an American court of some state or maybe even a Pan-American court would have conducted some kind of investigation long ago, a verdict would have been carried out. But there’s nothing to show.”
This new development should be a wake-up call for media outlets worldwide, Zakharova said, warning that any broadcaster could become the next target.
“This suggests that journalists all over the world should now understand that tomorrow this will be done to them. Therefore, if the media community does not unite now, if every media corporation head does not understand this, tomorrow… it will be too late,” the spokeswoman warned.

Many have said this, NATO is on the wrong side of history. The Nazis are acting like spoilt brats, and happy that if they don’t get their way, there will be nothing left to get.
Nazi bankruptcy is facing a plethora of rising powers who they fail to adapt to.
Geography used to be on Nazi Amerika and Nazi UKs side. They were great maritime powers, but most of there upsoming rivals are on a massive land mass, Asia, Africa, and Europe, and neither can Amerika or Britain feel safe, by two oceans and the English Channel.
Go back decades, when the missile age was taking off, literally, the US, UK, and France failed to adpt, and still built aircraft carriers. The US has 11, but only 3 are operational, due to costs. Much cheaper to have them docked under the cheap pretext of refurbishment. The US simply isn’t a great naval power, and neither is the UK.
China is building carriers, but they have a sound reason, which fits in with building artificial islands in the South China Sea. It’s very doubtful China will be sending carriers to distant shores to bully other nations.
This is the problem when you’re a Nazi sect and no one can think out loud, or innovate.
The Nazi political front may have hasitated, but I don’t think MI6 will. They will use long range weapons against Moscow under the pretext that UKraine has gone rogue, or elements within its Nazi military are out of control. No doubt Putin will be his usual weakness.
Western media is worse than the Nazis’ Der Sturmer and Volkischer Beobachter. At least they knew mostly to stretch the truth and leave it still believable, not to keep inventing it where it ends up preposterous.
The anti-Russia hysteria reminds me of the anti-Russia hysteria of the Nazis. The war that’s coming is less WW3 and more WW2 continued, as a lot American generals said they should have joined the Nazis and pushed on to Moscow. This is that war. It will be a clash of civilisations, a war of annihilation as it was between the Nazis and communists, and atomic weapons are WW2 weapons after all.
Hopefully Russia uses some missiles to ensure some of those pushing this war are amongst the first to die in it. Take the war to their front door. They’d get a few, terrify those they missed and scare the life out of all of them. Make the threat so deadly they’re the ones who sue for peace.
So, the good news is, the US declared information war on Russian media, is also on its own population and of course on all countries on this little planet. The bad news is, that it is not the US that day by day clips parts of our freedom, but our Superior Elite 10,000.
