Bishop claims war-torn Sudan is ‘safer than London’

The city in war-torn Sudan is safer than London, according to a bishop who was trying to encourage the soon to be appointed UK special representative for Sudan to visit Port Sudan.
The Bishop of Leeds, Rt Rev Nick Baines, made the remarks even as the Foreign Office advises against all travel to Sudan because of the ongoing conflict in Khartoum and other parts of the country.
Port Sudan, on the Red Sea, serves as the seat of the internationally recognised, military-backed government.
The Bishop spoke on the 12 white women beaten for attending the Notting Hill Carnival
saying the beating was wrong and very racist
Sudan descended into conflict in April 2023 when tensions between the military and a powerful paramilitary group, the Rapid Support Forces, exploded into open warfare.

This slaughter is horrible and there’s no need for it in Ukraine or in Palestine. Whoever is pulling the strings just likes to kill people. They like to make money from weapons deals and to grab land, but killing people is what they lust after most. 9/11, in which the US govt blew up 3,000 civilians at their jobs, was blatant proof of it. No, now there have been over 600,000 deaths of Ukrainian soldiers since February 2022, which is more than the entire US military losses in every war since the Civil War. Yet, only some 50,000 to 60,000 Russians have lost their lives. Also, this is a US led “proxy” war where the US brass has been conducting it liberally and deliberately throwing hapless, ill-trained and ill-equipped into the Russian meatgrinder allowing the Russians essentially to take what they want. The only conclusion one can come to is that either the US which really started war is the biggest fake and four-flushing nation nation in history, or the Russian and US establishments are simply carving up the nation.
