The EU leadership is pushing the bloc towards war with Russia, while neglecting the interests of their own people, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has claimed.
In an op-ed published in the Magyar Nemzet newspaper on Saturday, Orban warned that the EU is facing a series of crises, including economic challenges and the heightened threat of terrorism.
“To make matters worse, the Brussels bureaucracy that lives in a bubble has made a number of bad political decisions in recent years,” the prime minister argued. “Europe is increasingly being dragged into a war, in which it has nothing to gain and everything to lose.”

Orban also accused the EU leadership of “imposing their own ideologies” on the populations of member states, instead of “looking after the interests of the people.”
The Hungarian prime minister made his comments shortly after EU leaders nominated Ursula von der Leyen to serve for a third term as the president of the European Commission. At the same time, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas was nominated to replace Josep Borrell as the bloc’s top diplomat. Known for her hawkish foreign policy, Kallas has been one of the key champions of tougher sanctions on Russia and more weapons shipments to Ukraine. She is also an advocate of using frozen Russian assets for aid to Kiev.
Orban is an outspoken critic of the EU’s approach to the Ukraine conflict, favoring a diplomatic settlement through negotiations. Unlike many other NATO members, Hungary has refused to send weapons to Kiev and lobbied against unconditional financial assistance.
Orban previously claimed the US and the EU were “the sources” of the “war madness” sweeping the continent, and accused Brussels of dangerous brinkmanship with Russia.

In theory, Putin should end this war immediately, but looking closer it’s now easy to see why he doesn’t. Unless he can crush Ukraine (meaning take Kiev and reach the Western border), using conventional weapons in no more than 72 hours (which he can’t, even now), an offensive would almost certainly trigger direct NATO/US intervention. He is playing a long game, slowly grinding Ukraine to pulp and then watching it collapse from inside.
Orban is one of the very few politicians on this planet that I trust.
The leaders of the west face losing their power, and war may be a way of hanging onto it by introducing new war powers [which they’ll never never relinquish], but also a scorched earth is one way to prevent them being held to account. So war has at least two advantages for them.
In the UK we have the possibility of sweeping away the old establishment and voting in a new one, as do other places in Europe and possibly even the US. New parties and systems won’t be left unmolested by the old establishments using all manner of mischief, but out of office they’d be be doing it on the back foot, and also not every politician new to office will be new to politics and may be aware of many traps that will be set for them. Let’s get them out first then deal with the mud they’ll throw, but they may not have long to sow discontent, because it shouldn’t take long to start improving what they left us with.
Only problem is–its all a phony act. Orban like Putin is a crypto-Commie, wears a yarmulke & meets with Chandala Lubavitch, just like all the ‘leaders’ of these western or European nations. Notice Hitler never wore a yarmulke or met with the Chandalas–thus proving his genuineness. ZWOG is simply placing the pieces on their chessboard for their upcoming war to waste more whites in.

Yours is a well-placed trust, John. I’m looking forward to his EU stint because I trust him to rock that mouldy hulk till it is beyond the recognition of its governing Ursula von der Leyen and Eva Kaili brash-trash. I think Viktor Orban is looking forward to that himself.
