German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has stated that the Russian defence industry is already working to replenish its stockpiles.

Pistorius said that Russia is already producing weapons and ammunition beyond its need for conducting an aggressive war against Ukraine.
He noted that with increased spending on armaments and the streamlining of the military economy, “a significant portion or part of what is produced no longer goes to the front line, but ends up in warehouses”.
At the same time, he warns against further military ambitions of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
“Now you can be naive and say he’s doing it just out of caution. As a sceptical person, I would say in this case that he’s doing it because he has plans or could have them,” said Pistorius.

That’s another advantage when your defence industry really is for defence not offence. The weapons you don’t use in training build up stores. All very necessary if you’re not part of the west and have something the west wants but doesn’t want to pay for it. Because you’ll have to fight them off.

The Russian military buildup is all about countering the Nazi NATO threat. It is to prevent an attack by NATO, but a direct conflict between the two will go nuclear pretty quickly, so there’s not going to be a WW1 style war like UKraine.
Russia won’t attack NATO, unless its forced to secure the Kaliningrad rail link which is protected by treaty. So a NATO attack on Russia will be countered with tactical nukes, and the Nazis know this, and after a short period, assuming NATO doesn’t back down, there’s going to be a major nuclear exchange, and the golden rule is that you shoot everything. There’s zero point in holding nukes back so they can be destroyed.

Many years ago when a Russian nuclear commander saw a limited US launch against Russia, he had 30 seconds to think outside the box. Those 30 odd seconds saved the world, literally.
