On November 19th Turkey announced, that it is banning any US and NATO ships from entering the Black Sea.
A vast US naval buildup is taking place in the eastern Mediterranean – but the Turkish straits are closed to them.
The Turkish naval commander has said: ‘We declare that we do not want NATO and America in the Black Sea.’
The decision was made after a phone call by Erdogan to Putin.
Turkey has refused to acknowledge Hamas as a ‘terrorist organization’ which annoys the US. Plus, Erdogan has called Israel a terrorist state.
In a speech to his Justice and development Party, he stated:
“Israel sticks to a strategy of total destruction of the city and its people. It is brutally wreaking state terror, deliberately bombing civilians on the run. I say openly, with a clear heart, that Israel is a terror site.
“Israel has been ‘continuously committing war crimes for the last 40 days …deliberately targeting hospitals, streets and mosques in Gaza, with the full backing of the West.”
He accused Netenyahu of “carrying out the most heinous attack against women and children in all of history”, and threatening people with nuclear weapons.
Turkish naval forces now present in the Eastern Mediterranean are planning for a large-scale exercise: which by the rules of the game means that US ships will have to get out of the way. Its declared aim is to ‘put an end to maritime terrorism’ (!) Many Arab nations will be participating.
Turkey’s relation with NATO nations have not been improving of late.
Thank goodness that there is one country with the nerve to describe Israel ‘s actions correctly.

Well, given the game, and even if Turkey were to sit on the fence, they wouldn’t want a major naval battle in the Black Sea, and this would make the Bosphorus Strait a legitimate target.
Erdogan and Putin know this, but for arguments sake, Putin would warn Turkey that a naval battle in the Black Sea would see the Bosphorus Strait closed. How this would be done, you can think it over.
Turkey is definitely one foot in NATO, and the other out. There’s a serious chance that Turkey could head south towards Israel, and here’s the bluff.
Assuming Israel has nukes, which I am skeptical about, but assuming it does, then Turkey would not fear matching on Israel, because if Israel made moves to use these nukes, other nuclear powers would be inclined to hit Israel first, and even the US could be in a place where they would also stop the Samson option.

Erdogan is trying to play Russia and the West off against each other. Given the MI6/CIA attempt to murder him and overthrow the Turkish government, this is foolishness.
Ideally, Turkey would withdraw from NATO, although that would then leave the US-Isreal-UK axis free to declare it to be an ‘enemy state’ and openly operate against it.
The best Turkish option is probably to remain in NATO – war between NATO members being one of the elites nightmares – but to gradually undermine it from the inside.
