RFE/RL – Oct 20, 2023
NATO ambassadors met on October 19 in Budapest as concerns grow over Hungary’s relations with Russia following talks between Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this week.
U.S. Ambassador to Hungary David Pressman told RFE/RL that the diplomats have “security concerns” over the “deepening relationship” between Russia and the NATO and EU member.
The ambassadors, including a representative of Sweden, whose membership in NATO is pending, gathered in the Hungarian capital just days after Orban met Putin at a forum in China where they discussed bilateral cooperation in natural gas and crude oil transportation as well as nuclear energy.
“It is worrying that Hungary has decided to contact Putin in this way,” Pressman said.
“We see Hungary as an ally, but at the same time we also see that Hungary is deepening its relationship with Russia despite its brutal war in Ukraine,” he added.
Pressman also said that Washington expects these “legitimate security concerns” to be taken seriously by the Hungarian government.
Orban was the first leader of an EU country to meet with Putin since the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant accusing the Russian president of a war crime over the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia.
Days earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto visited Moscow for an energy forum and said that Budapest has no intention of reducing purchases of Russian oil supplied through the Druzhba pipeline even though the EU has sanctioned the Russian oil sector.
Orban has spoken out against the Western sanctions on Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine and has opposed plans to grant more aid to Ukraine.
In his recent meeting with Putin, Orban reportedly told the Russian leader it was crucial for all of Europe, including Hungary, that the flow of refugees, sanctions, and fighting stop.
Orban’s strengthening of ties with Russia has resulted in strains in Hungary’s relations with NATO and EU allies in recent years.

No doubt there will be another attempt at ‘regime change’ in Hungary. Unfortunately for the US and its UK puppet, the Hungarians are very switched on.
Some years ago, ‘British nationalist’ figure and long term MI6 asset Nick Griffin was booted out of Hungary after travelling there in order to encourage pro-EU ‘nationalist’ feeling against the government.
Orban doesn’t wear a Nazi uniform. It’s not Orban’s fault the Nazis are thickos. At the end of the day, Orban is doing the right thing for Hungary. No migrants, no sanctions, happy sheeple, sheeple that are only half as thick as your typical Brit.
Hungary does not want to get terrorised by hordes of idiot wogs and this is a bad thing if you are Jew-led NATO, so you should have no friends according to them
Orban like Putin is another yarmulke wearing Chandala Lubavitch agent. Notice every head of State meets with Chandala Lubavitch & wears a yarmulke when told to. But hey, welcome to your Jewocracy.

You are spot on. Thank you.
But for goodness sakes! Giving coverage to the hysterical homosexual David Pressman’s woke opinions? Why, Rixon? That fellow is the crudest, rudest ambassadorial intervenor in Hungary’s internal affairs ever known. Hungary is giving him enough rope to hang himself, which is diplomatically smoother than demanding his recall. Besides, Pressman’s bilious burpings at PM Orban, meant to help the traitorous post-commie Hungarian ‘left’, are reaping the exact opposite result. So mince right on, Pressman. And keep on shedding tears because you are so hated in Hungary, and you cannot see why. Victoria Nuland is surely very happy with you.
Well we’ll then see how well a nation of cross-dressing “Get a Brain Morans!” will fare against a nation of Chess-Players!
I don’t think there is a single non-jew US ambassador to any country and Pressman is no exception, so what to expect but supreme supremacist arrogance in dispensing offensive commands to the host.
Hungary should point out that Pressman’s job is narrowly defined to mind the business between America and Hungary without straying off the reservation.
And to keep everything else, including promoting the supremacy of sodomite drag queens and other degenerate mutants to his home turf, be it Israel or Washington.
Even here in Thailand, where I live (my adopted country), they are raping it with LGBTQ poison brew despite the fact that Thailand is the world’s most tolerant country where assorted homosexuals, lesbians, ladyboys and what have you are seamlessly adopted and merged within society, neither noticed nor remarked upon, totally at ease in all social circumstances, zero discrimination—truly a marvel to behold (and I certainly am not, never have been a homophobe, if there is one group I hate, openly and without reservation, it is Jews, and I don’t mean ethnically, blessedly absent from most Thailand).
Why do it then?
