NATO’s ammunition stockpiles are running dangerously low, with demand outstripping supply, the head of the Norwegian armed forces revealed on Thursday.
Iran Press/ Europe: “[Procurement] is still going slow. All the defense chiefs that I have spoken to say that the demand for new weapons surpasses production,” Eirik Kristoffersen told a Norwegian newspaper ahead of a top-level meeting of the bloc’s top brass.
NATO chiefs of defense will gather in the Norwegian capital of Oslo on Saturday for their annual Military Committee Conference, the newspaper said, adding that 31 commanders-in-chief from NATO countries, plus current candidate Sweden, will participate in the meeting.
Western allies began pouring weapons and ammunition into Ukraine shortly after Russia launched its military operation in the country in February 2022. The Kremlin has repeatedly warned against further escalation leading to NATO’s direct involvement in the conflict.
All bullshit. NATO might be running low on 40yrs old munitions.
What Kristoffersen means, is that we need to replace these old stocks.

They aren’t short of anything. I doubt there’s a single NATO leader, and I include Biden, who knows the totality of their respective munitions stocks. Mr Sunak, we’re down to our last million 155 shells. It’s serious. This is code for: we’re down to our last million 155 shells produced before 1950, but we’ve got 50 million 155 shells produced after 1950.
I doubt the Russians buy into this bullshit.

If the west has unlimited stocks of ammunition it would be winning in Ukraine but it isn’t. The western elite know full well that Russia cannot be invaded hence the weakening of Russia rhetoric. It stopped producing mass ammunitions a long time ago because it was not viable they knew that they would not be fighting another no man’s land war in the future. Remember you dills they focused on insurgency war instead which never needed the mass production of heavy ammunitions. Russia kept its arms factories intact the west instead paid for $400 toilet seats. The administration costs of western forces would easily be 3 times that of arms production and that’s where we are at.
