The United States is readying more than $2 billion worth of military aid for Ukraine that is expected to include longer-range rockets for the first time as well as other munitions and weapons, two U.S. officials briefed on the matter told Reuters on Tuesday.
The aid is expected to be announced as soon as this week, the officials said. It is also expected to include support equipment for Patriot air defense systems, precision-guided munitions and Javelin anti-tank weapons, they added.
One of the officials said a portion of the package, expected to be $1.725 billion, would come from a fund known as the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), which allows President Joe Biden’s administration to get weapons from industry rather than from U.S. weapons stocks.
The USAI funds would go toward the purchase of a new weapon, the Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) made by Boeing Co (BA.N), which have a range of 94 miles (150 km). The United States has rebuffed Ukraine’s requests for the 185-mile (297-km) range ATACMS missile.
The longer range of the GLSDB glide bomb could allow Ukraine to hit targets that have been out of reach and help it continue pressing its counterattacks by disrupting Russia further behind its lines.
Reuters first reported on Boeing’s proposal to field GLSDB for Ukraine in November. At the time it was expected GLSDB could be in Ukraine by spring.
GLSDB is made jointly by SAAB AB (SAABb.ST) and Boeing. It combines the GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) with the M26 rocket motor, both of which are common in U.S. inventories.
GLSDB is GPS-guided, can defeat some electronic jamming, is usable in all weather conditions, and can be used against armored vehicles, according to SAAB’s website. The GBU-39 – which would function as the GLSDB’s warhead – has small, folding wings that allow it to glide more than 100km if dropped from an aircraft and hit targets as small as 3 feet (1 meter) in diameter.
The USAI funds would also be used to pay for more components of HAWK air defenses, counter drone systems, counter artillery and air surveillance radars, communications equipment, PUMA drones, and spare parts for major systems like Patriot and Bradley, one of the officials said.
There was also a significant amount of medical equipment – enough to equip three field hospitals being donated by another ally, the official added.
The White House declined to comment. The contents and size of aid packages can shift until they are signed by the president.
In addition to the USAI funds, more than $400 million worth of aid was expected to come from Presidential Drawdown Authority funds, which allows the president to take from current U.S. stocks in an emergency.
That aid was expected to include mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles (MRAPs), guided multiple launch rocket systems (GMLRS) and ammunition.
The U.S. has sent approximately $27.2 billion worth of security assistance to Ukraine since Russia’s February 2022 invasion. Russia calls the invasion a “special operation”.
At least half of that $2 billion will find its way into many back pockets. Russia could spend $200 million, and get better value, such is the waste and corruption in Amerika, & UKraine. The main point, Biden isn’t in control, and Blinken is just a Nazi gob.
This is over something they’re desperate to keep hidden because nobody would risk nuclear war otherwise. It has to be proof of something really bad and I don’t think it’s biowarfare labs because they have the ready excuse of defence and research. It must be something like sex and slave trafficking, child sex trafficking or adrenochrome and organ harvesting. Perhaps all of them. They’d not risk their own lives over biowarfare and money laundering because they don’t need die over that, but exposure of true evil is better done dead than alive and preferably not at all; and only through total domination of the world or a nuclear holocaust could they prevent that.

This is classic BBC Infantile-Reversal whereby they accuse the Created Enemy of doing precisely what they are doing themselves even in the very article in which they are accusing them of doing it :-

If the BBC was an independent News Organisation that prioritised its headlines on the grounds of veracity and import, it would not give absolute priority of place at the very top of its Newsfeed to what even the headline story itself admits is unverfied material :-
‘The BBC was unable to independently confirm Konstantin Yefremov’s specific allegations of torture, but they are consistent with other claims of abuse of Ukrainian prisoners.’
Well, there’s a circular argument – there is no proof that any of this actually happened, but it is consistent with other accounts for which there is no proof that any of it actually happened.
The BBC here are openly admitting, too, that at some point they have most very definitely made up a blatant and extremely serious lie and have presented it to the compulsory License Fee viewing and listening public as Truth.
Because if the statement that ‘in Ukraine, Russia is fighting fascists, neo-Nazis and ultra-nationalists’ is a ‘false narrative’ is true, then the BBC were lying when they reported, more than once, on what they specifically described as the neo-Nazi threat in the Ukraine :-

What compounds the seriousness of the explicit assertion that there is no neo-nazi presence in the Ukraine Military (IF it happens to be a false assertion) is that the neo-nazi-denier himself is Jewish; from Wikipedia:-

Why do I say that the account of this appalling behaviour on the part of the Russian Officer is lame ? Am I implicating myself as callously indifferent to human suffering, blah blah etc?
Nope – just that, even if this is true, if one bonkers Colonel who did not actually act out on his threats is the worst that the BBC can come up with, there are a good few hundred verifiable accounts of Ukrainian torture, rape and murder acted out on Russian Speakers that can be contrasted with it in terms of ‘Newsworthiness’.
I have presented here what I believe is the basis of an excellent case against both the BBC and Steve Rosenberg to present to both Ofcom and the Anti-Defamation League.
IF Steve Rosenberg’s neo-nazi denial is false, that is particularly egregious given his Jewish ancestry. I should imagine the ADL might take a particularly serious view of that.
And OFCOM will have to demonstrate due Impartiality.
After all, it saw fit to ban Russia Today completely on the following grounds :

I have no experience in these things and would be grateful if any readers here could advise me on how best to proceed with presenting my case against BBC impartiality in the most direct and effective way.
(I will, of course, present the responses I get from the relevant complaint bodies publically, be they positive or negative.)
If any readers here are experienced in this sort of thing themselves and can do it efficiently and quickly (I take aeons doing anything unfamiliar) they may care to do this themselves.
Otherwise I would be grateful for any advice and guidance.

As to the BBC, you are wasting your time. Even if you can make a case and win, it will be a pyrrhic victory.
I was at a John Pilger talk some years ago, and someone asked during the Q&A about complaining about the BBC, and Pilger said: “The BBC is never wrong”. The BBC doesn’t care what anyone else thinks or does. The BBC’s deep state remit is to peddle whatever agenda is set for it. Martin Bashir worked for the BBC, he might even still work for them, but his number one task was to always do what the deep state wanted.
BBC News stories and their sources do not come under Freedom of Information requests. So the story about Russia interducting anti gay laws was covered by the BBC before they’d even had a chance to translate the new laws. So where did the BBC get the story from? It wasn’t in house investigative, and the BBC were as damn it first, with the story. So my FOI request sought to establish where the BBC got this story. They would not say, they wouldn’t say if in-house, or external. The fact is, the BBC got this story from MI6. The law wasn’t anti gay as such, but sought to protect children from LBGT propaganda.

The Satanic “West” does what it does because it’s evil, not because it seeks to plunder Russian resources. Yes of course if the opportunity should present itself the Satanists would gladly steal everything they could, but that’s obviously not what this conflict is all about. Rather, this conflict is a spiritual war between Satanic evil and imperfect good. I appreciate that my entire plan is based on the assumption that OFCOM and the ADL are to neutrality and impartiality what the BBC is to neutrality and Impartiality- that is to say , I realise I would stand a better chance of gaining a neutral and impartial assessment of whether or not I should be eaten alive from a rabid lion that had been confined to a 9 foot square cell in which I had also been confined, and with no exit, and the lion had been starved for six days, rather then to expect any semblance of fairness, impartiality, neutrality, or anything else but the sort of shameless bias that would make Judge Jefferies blanch, from any of the three aforementioned organisations.

It originates from Real Raw News (Michael Baxter) which I’m not familiar with so I’m sceptical about the validity of their articles in general. If it’s true, then wouldn’t the Russians release video and documents to verify the claim of destroying this adrenochrome lab? Then again, I suppose they might elect to withhold verification as a bargaining chip for peace negotiations. Could Joe Tuzara on Substack be working for Mossad? Who knows? Anyway it seems darn unlikely to me that Putin and Trump are in periodic contact. How could they possibly get around US electronic surveillance?
