Realistic reports from the Ukrainian frontline are rare. Yesterday the British Express had this (@7:30, also here) from Bakhmut / Artemovsk in its Live coverage. One wonders how it has bypassed the censor:
Inside Bakhmut frontline ‘littered with corpses’ and ‘colossal’ losses
The Ukrainian commander of the Svoboda battalion, Petro Kuzyk, whose unit is one of those holding Bakhmut said his soldiers are staying in trenches full of corpses, fighting in extremely cold conditions and in knee-deep water against Russia’s attacks.

“I apologise for speaking slowly now, because I’m very cold – it’s making me dizzy. I’ve now left the first line (since I was called). I’m warming up in the car, I’m almost falling asleep, because I haven’t slept all this time. They charged yesterday, quite seriously. They felt a weakness in our defence, because (I will not name the numbers of the units, so as not to spoil their honour) there are units that are less motivated than ours. And yesterday they weakened our defence a little in the area just around the Bakhmut. Some units could not withstand this artillery onslaught and retreated.
“This is our principle: we, the Svoboda Battalion, do not retreat. And because of that, we found ourselves in a semi-surrounded situation, and we had a lot of work to do. In addition, it is a swamp full of mud. It is very difficult to evacuate the wounded or to deliver ammunition. The trenches are constantly deteriorating, and in this swamp they must be constantly rebuilt.”
He added: “Today is the first day without rain, but then and yesterday when it fell, all the water flowed into the trenches. And the shelling was such that it was impossible to get out of the trench, so the guys were constantly wet for a day or two. Plus the temperature is like this. Many are contused, many with pneumonia. But we hold our ground, and we defend. I see young guys standing with their teeth clenched. I would really like someone to write about their achievements, because few people in the country know about it.”

Most German soldiers were just there. They weren’t in some deep seated idiology, because WW2 Nazi idiology simply hadn’t been around long enough.

I’ve forwarded this idea that we’ve kinda flipped the game. The new Germany is the US, the new Japan is the UK. Russia takes the UKs pre WW2 position, and China is the new US.
You might not be able to get your head around it, but Russia led by Putin, now leads the free world. What Russia has done in UKraine, is akin to what the UK did when the Germans walked into Poland.

From the inside, it can be very difficult to objectively describe what you see and experience. Familiarity dulls the senses. You look at the free lamb meals in supermarkets, and you’ll find that they aren’t aimed at the poor, no, they’re aimed at the middle classes. Buy an adult sheeple meal, and you get a free meal for your lamb. The poor can afford an adult meal… hilarious, and I only picked up on this by dropping into a convo between wife and daughter. lol
So, to think that poor lambs shopping at the likes of Asda and Sainsburys are funding free meals for middle class lambs. It’s just so full of Christmas shit wonder.

Those soldiers would be way braver and heroic to have turned their weapons on the Ukrainian Rada and the Zionist usurpers that took over their nation at the beginning of this war. Sadly, their achievement is complete failure. So go put a medal on the chests of the few remaining Ukrainian soldiers recuperating in hospitals to compensate for the failure of their vaunted achievements.

Mention deadly cold and I think of polar explorers with icicles dangling from their beards and mountaineers tackling the heights of Everest; of fingers turning black with frostbite and the chilling clutch of hypothermia.
So I was sceptical when I was asked to take part in a cold experiment that took place at just 10 degrees Celsius. Yes, 10C.
To me that’s mild, nowhere near freezing and certainly no Arctic blast. Surely we’d have to go much colder before putting a strain on the body? I was wrong.

What is the interest of Moon of Alabama in this war? Is it to make American great again by helping out the poor, outnumbered, underdog Ukrainians and dragging the US and the rest of the West into the conflict in order to snuff out Russia?
Are not the richest and most powerful people on the planet the most self-aggrandizing and the least self-effacing? Is it not the case that for appearances sake to outsiders they want to present an opposition to their abuses from free-wheeling dissenters within their ranks – a kind of controlled opposition until things get really serious and then they all close ranks and pull together for their nation or for their tribe?
