Russia’s Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that if the United States decided to supply Kyiv with longer-range missiles, it would cross a “red line” and become “a party to the conflict”.
In a briefing, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova added that Russia “reserves the right to defend its territory”.
Washington has openly supplied Ukraine with advanced GMLRS rockets, fired from HIMARS launchers, that can hit targets up to 80 km (50 miles) away.
“If Washington decides to supply longer-range missiles to Kyiv, then it will be crossing a red line, and will become a direct party to the conflict,” Zakharova said.
U.S. officials say Ukraine has promised not to use U.S. rockets to strike Russia itself.
HIMARS launchers can also be used to fire longer-range ATACMS tactical missiles, which can have a range of up to 300 km. A senior Ukrainian official declined to say on Aug. 19 whether Kyiv now had ATACMS.
There has been no full public explanation of an attack on Aug. 9 that hit a Russian air base at Saky, around 200 km from the nearest Ukrainian-controlled territory, on the Crimean peninsula, which Moscow captured in 2014 and considers Russian territory.
Ukraine has requested and received large quantities of weapons from the United States and other Western allies to help it resist the Russian armed forces that were sent into Ukraine in February.
Moscow says it sent troops to prevent Ukraine being used as a platform for Western aggression and to defend Russian speakers. Kyiv and its Western allies dismiss these arguments as baseless pretexts for an imperial-style war of aggression.
They have built a huge military war-machine in Ukraine, a horrible meat-grinder. In order to keep Russian artillery busy Zelensky regime is using poorly trained conscripts as sacrifice pawns, on an extensive front, while better soldiers are reserved for special operations. The draft of women is schedule for October.
The Kharkov Ukrainian offensive caught the Russian garrison by surprise. Avoiding imminent encirclement they managed to retreat not suffering too many casualties, rumors of abandoned tanks though. Crisis is contained for now but Russian morale suffered a little bit.
The nations-wreckers have barely started their terror campaign on Russia, escalation is almost a certainty. ZATO is going to use aircraft on Russian positions. They just have to stick a banner on the fuselage to have a ‘Ukrainian’ jet. ZATO is involved already, with boots on the ground. Perhaps ZATO is preparing an autumn offensive?

There was a limited draft of Women starting in the last seven months of the war, but all these Women were used in administrative and clerical positions to replace Men who had been moved to the front. I know because my late German Mother-in-Law was one of them.
Only the warmongering maniacs in the U.S. and the west in general would send long range missiles to Zelensky; and that for the sole purpose of grinding Russia down and replace Putin with a more favourable puppet – you know, one who advocate Pride Parades for example.

“Red line”, huh? The war-mongering Jewnited States has been a very active “direct party to the conflict” for some time, pissing in the face of Russia and mocking them to do something about it. Hanna Reitsch’s name should be better known. Her achievements ought to be remembered and celebrated but she’s little spoken of.
She was an honorary Flight Captain of the Luftwaffe, the first and only woman to be co-opted to this office. She was awarded the Iron Cross Second Class and late in the war, the Iron Cross First Class, which was presented to her personally by Adolf Hitler. Hanna Reitsch is one of only three women ever to be decorated with an Iron Cross First Class.
She was Germany’s premier test pilot during World War II. She risked her life constantly, throughout the war. In 1945, while testing the new, 500 mph, rocket-powered Messerschmitt 163, she crashed the plane and was seriously injured but she nonetheless insisted upon completing a full report for the aircraft engineers from her hospital bed. That’s why she was awarded the First Class Iron Cross for bravery. The plane’s development offered Germany promise.
Hanna Reitsch broke forty world altitude records and was the first woman in the world to pilot a helicopter.
In their rendition of the Hitler escaped to Argentina bumfluffery, the book, Grey Wolf, the authors, Dunstan and Williams, claim that it was Hanna Reitsch who flew Adolf and Eva out of Berlin to Spain, from where Mr. and Mrs. Hitler were subsequently flown to Argentina.
Hanna Reitsch piloted soldiers into France in 1940 in a glider and went on an important mission to destroy British barrage balloons. She didn’t experience combat per se.
While she was recuperating from her injuries, toward the wars end, Reitsch put together a plan and a training programme for a new Luftwaffe squadron of suicide bombers, (akin to the Japanese Kamikazes,) which she would personally lead in an attack on the Eastern Front. She was allowed to present her plans directly to the Fuhrer. Adolf Hitler greatly admired Hanna Reitsch and he always spoke of her in the highest of terms but he promptly dismissed her plans as utterly foolish but he nonetheless, let her down easily, suggesting to her that it would not represent the best use of Germany’s resources at that time.
Hanna Reitsch should be better known than Amy Johnson. Reitsch’s achievements, as a pioneer aviator, surpass Johnson’s.
Hanna was a pretty woman too, though war tells on everyone’s faces.
