After a 3-day halt, Russian energy giant Gazprom was expected to resume critical supplies of nat gas to Europe via Nord Stream 1 tomorrow, but it appears that Putin, who is enjoying the game of cat and mouse a little too much, had other plans. As a result, Russian gas flows toward Europe won’t be coming back anytime soon, as moments ago Gazprom announced that it had “completely halted” transport of gas to Nord Stream until a previously undetected oil leakage is rectified.
That could takes hours, days… or months.

The “shocking development” is a massive blow to Europe, which is scrambling to fill up its gas storage ahead of winter and which has been trying to guess Moscow’s next steps in the energy war for weeks.

That means that Europe will now be forced to rely even more on… well… Russian gas, in the form of much more expensive LNG resold by China. And after tumbling by more than 50% in the past few days, we fully expect European gas prices are about to go super parabolic and take out all time highs as soon as trading returns on Monday.
As Bloomberg puts it, “it marks a dramatic escalation in Europe’s energy crisis — and comes just as prices were easing. If the shutdown persists, it puts households, factories and economies at risk, weakening Europe’s hand as it backs Ukraine in the war against Russia.” Said otherwise, millions of virtue signalers will be cold, hungry and in the dark this winter, but at least they will have a Ukraine flag in their Twitter bio.
The news promptly sent spots sliding back under 4000 as any hope Europe’s energy hyperinflation was finally over were just steamrolled by the Russian president.

The Germans waited until nord stream 2 was completed and ready to start pumping cheap reliable natural gas to Europe and then decided they didn`t want or need the gas after all . Whilst the Germans and most of the EU countries plus the UK are backing Ukraine to the hilt in it`s war how can they expect to keep being supplied with Russian energy . Putin using energy as a weapon is complete nonsense because he has always said he wants peaceful relations and long term trading agreements with The West for mutual benefit . NATO has got Europe in its grip and is calling all the shots along with a compliant war mongering EU so the people of Europe have a choice to make as regards the future of the 500 million population who will starve and freeze this winter and for years to come.

Gazprom discloses major challenge for Nord Stream
The Russian company earlier said the main turbine pumping gas to Europe was found to have an engine oil leak
“Germany’s Siemens Energy is ready to correct a turbine fault in the Nord Stream 1 natural gas pipeline, but there is currently nowhere to service the failed equipment, Russian energy major Gazprom said on Saturday.
“Siemens is taking part in the repair works under the terms of the current contract [with Gazprom], has detected faults and signed an act on diagnosing of oil leaks, and is ready to fix them,” the Russian company said via its Telegram channel.
“There is just no place to carry out the repair works,” Gazprom added, providing no further details.
Earlier this week, the company an engine oil leak was found in the turbine during a joint inspection with manufacturer Siemens Energy at the Portovaya compressor station near St.Petersburg.

Moscow reveals details of latest Ukrainian assault near Zaporozhye nuclear plant
The assault was attempted despite the presence of IAEA inspectors at the facility, Russian defense ministry says
“Russia’s defense ministry has confirmed that Ukraine has made yet another attempt to take over the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant late on Friday, revealing some details of Kiev’s operation, which failed.
The attackers were quickly spotted and struck by Russia’s Su-30 jets and Ka-52 attack helicopters. Those strikes sunk some 20 boats, while the rest turned around and retreated. The remaining Ukrainian troops were than targeted by the Russian artillery as they tried getting ashore in the Ukrainian-controlled territory, the ministry said.
According to Moscow, the failed attack on the nuclear power plant saw 47 Ukrainian service personnel killed, including ten foreign mercenaries, with at least 20 others wounded.
Kiev’s special forces attempted to storm the facility despite the inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) being there, the defense ministry stressed.

I do not think news is related to stock prices. If you watch the market carefully then read what the MSM said moved prices that day, they simple choose a story that fits what they think made the market go up or down. Often the market may go up, they pick a story that matches, then later in the same trading day the market, say, plunges. So then they search for a story why it went down.
A good example is a double standard used to explain market behavior is interest rates. They often say interest rates caused the market to go up, and they often say interest rates caused the market to go down, even though, say, interest rates went up.
Studies have been conducted to correlate interest rates to stock prices, and the finding is that there is no correlation. Huge bull markets can happen with rising rates, but rising rates are now being used to predict stock market crash.
They do this with the Fed also, they desperately want to believe that the Fed is the cause of interest rates, but the fact is the Fed always follows rates up and down, check these articles out for yourself:

Oh the horror – the Fed is not in charge of investor psychology. The bottom line is that the great credit expansions in history, are created by widespread caution and pessimism slowly morphing into widespread risk taking and optimism. At every market top, speculation is rampant. From peak carefree investing the market reverses and goes to the opposite extreme.
Currently the biggest bubble in history, world real estate prices, has just started the unwind. After decades of lowering interest rates, inflation, and rising home prices with each cycle, investors bought everything in an orgy of wild speculation. Australia and Canada went looney tunes, even in Amerika many areas are so overbought that homes that should be bulldozed sell for hundreds of thousands.
And now that the public is all in, the Fed has decided to raise interest rates. In related news, Klaus says you will own nothing. What a damn laugh, they are pulling the rug out on these house flippers.
The aim is to put unbearable pressure on the German people (and by extension the French, as the Germans will hijack gas intended for them). Riots become inevitable. Initially, the bought and paid for CIA puppet politicians will try to ride it out, but when faced with screaming immigrant mobs (that will be a dilemma for them), even they will turn in order to save themselves.
