Oleksii Arestovych, an adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, believes that the death of Russian President Putin is not beneficial for Ukraine, it is necessary to “break Russia with sanctions” under his rule.
He said this in an interview for the Center YouTube channel.

He considers the release of opposition leader Alexei Navalny from prison or the rise of another opposition leader in Russia to be the worst option for Ukraine.
“They will arrange real parliamentarianism, there will be several political parties. They will really come to an agreement with the West. And he is eager to agree. Sanctions will be lifted from them, including high-tech ones. They will begin to catch up with world production,” says Arestovych.
This, according to the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, would allow the Russian Federation to compete with other countries as part of the Western civilization.
“The West applauds because it sees all the formal signs of normalization of the situation [in Russia]. Its parliament is working, political competition is present, the media are starting their operation….And this liberal Russia, it will very quickly pump Russia to the point that it will be difficult for us to compete with. Because again high-tech weapons, again economic and cultural expansion will be available there,” Arestovych believes.
He called the best option the one under which Putin would live for some more time and “the Russian Federation was simply broken by sanctions.”
“When Ukrainians joyfully wish Putin’s death, this, of course, is all very cute thing to do, only his life is a much more profitable option for us than the victory of any other forces in the Russian Federation,” Arestovych said.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, Arestovych believes that Russia’s war against Ukraine could last until 2035.

Arestovich warned of military clashes with Russia until 2035
The war in Ukraine with Russia may last at least until 2035. Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, made this statement in an interview with Russian human rights activist Mark Feigin.
“This war is not the last with Russia. As Israel and the Arabs went through five major wars with each other, they realized that these methods do not work and we must move to others. So it will be with us. I do not know if we need five, but we are guaranteed several military skirmishes by 2035. This means a clash every two, maybe five years. And big clashes every seven or eight,“ said Arestovich.
He believes that it is better for Ukrainians who are not ready to do so to leave the country temporarily. According to him, only the most resilient will survive in Ukraine.
“Those who are not ready for this, who are now shouting about how to live and raise children, need some other country. Here is a new Israel. Only the scale is steeper and scarier. I do not plan to take the family. My all here and will be here and those who are not ready are warm Spain and many other countries. Go there if you are not ready,” he added.

While I know nothing about the planning, the leader who follows Putin is likely to be much more hard-line. Why do I say this, beacsue Putin took over a broken Russia, so Putin was allowed to get on, and even the West took a while to realise that Putin couldn’t be controlled, the way they wanted.
A new leader will be taking over a very successful economy with a resurgent world class military. So aside from 5th column threats, there’s going to be a few powerful sheeple who believe they should be running the country.
Maybe Putin will set things up, so his chosen successor will have as good a start as possible. NATO is in part doing this, because Putin is 68, or 70, depending on your source, so they perceive him to be failing and weak, who knows?
So the sanctions and UKraine are policies to weaken whatever Putin has planned, because he must be doing some planning.
