Britain’s Special Forces will be charged with a new mission tracking the threat posed by “hostile” state actors around the world, the head of the Army has said.
In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph, General Sir Mark Carleton-Smith suggested the SAS and SBS would be put on a “different trajectory” in a major overhaul of the armed forces to be announced on Monday.
The paper said that it could mean Special Forces soldiers operating alongside MI6 to mount surveillance operations against Russian intelligence and military units.
Gen Carleton-Smith said some of their traditional roles would now be taken over by a new Ranger Regiment announced on Friday ahead of the publication of the Defence Command Paper.
He said that in future Special Forces “will be tracking the changing and accelerating nature of the threat.
“The most persistent and lethal threats are those associated with hostile state actors.
“So they’re tracking a different trajectory and what they leave behind is a vacuum where they need to hand off tasks, missions and responsibilities to a second echelon force.
“The Rangers will fit neatly into that.”
The Telegraph said it was likely that Special Forces units would be tasked alongside MI6 with uncovering the activities of Russian military intelligence – the GRU – thought to be responsible for the Salisbury nerve agent attack on former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter.
It said that elite units could also be charged with countering the activities of the Wagner Group, a Russian mercenary organisation widely thought to act as proxies for the Kremlin.
Writing in the paper, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said armed forces needed to adapt to counter threats which had “changed beyond recognition” in the past 30 years.
“We can no longer take for granted the superiority of Western capabilities. Our enemies have infinitely more options,” he said.
“Encryption, precision, and information operations complicate the threat picture. We find ourselves constantly confronted in the ‘grey zone’ – aggressive actions below the threshold of open conflict.”
He said there would be additional investment for “intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance” as well as for electronic warfare.
The National Cyber Force will be expanded, there will be a new Space Command to co-ordinate military and commercial operation and the Royal Navy will get a new Multi Role Ocean Surveillance ship (MROSS) protect vital undersea cables.
While the paper said the Army would get an additional £3 billion, there would also be cuts with a reduction of around 10,000 troops expected as well as cuts to armoured fighting vehicles and the last remaining C-130J Hercules transport aircraft.
There are not enough troops in the British Army to qualify as an army. Now, a further reduction of 10,000. Then take out the LGBTQZ-+ contingent who couldn’t fight their way out of a child’s play pen. You’re left with a platoon of capable soldiers. As the SAS recruit from regular soldiers serving in the traditional regiments, where will they get new recruits from? What will this new Ranger force consist of? The army recruits being trained in strict discipline and fitness has declined sharply. This new force, to succeed would need to return to those values to succeed. Will political correctness be put aside for them only?

Instead of propaganda being deployed to undermine an enemy’s resolve during war time, the British Armed Forces will marshal their psychological warfare capacity against their own people during “peacetime” – for the treacherous purpose of undermining the resolve of their own countrymen’s opposition to the on-going globalist take over of the world.

I see this article, pretty much, as a precursor to the SAS being used to take out white nationalist leaders/people posting on websites who have influence.
Let’s face reality on just WHO the SAS really are. They’re nothing more than the assassins of the Rothschilds; shabbos goyim who happily obey what they’re told to do, without questions. Murderers, to the last man, they go where they’re told do and do what they’re told do. They have absolutely no remorse against those they kill.
I grew up admiring them and the armed forces. Now I loathe anyone within, with absolutely no respect for any of them, whatsoever. It’s not just the wrongs they done to so many people in this world, who posed the people of the UK, no threat whatsoever, but it’s the untold damage they’ve done to the name of the Britons.
Where, for example, were our brave armed forces when the girls in Rotherham were being groomed, raped and murdered by Pakistanis?
An armed force is supposed to protect its nation, so we’re told. They’ve failed miserably at that, nothing but the bulldogs for the jew, thugs and nothing more.
The SAS/SBS are nothing but bum boy assassins for the paedo elites, only excelling at murdering civilians in the ME; Ru Sf would eat them for breakfast.
Drones, robotics, the technical and specialist know-how to launch devestating cyber attacks, highly-skilled special forces murder squads, and a massively increased nuclear arsenal means that, rightly or wrongly, the UK feels it no longer needs a large standing army.
Globalism and its attendant ultra-powerful supranational bodies lead to the installed stooges at the top of the British establishment believing the UK only needs to ‘play its part’ in the overarching scheme.
The UK ceased to be an independent, sovereign entity a very long time ago.
