In anticipation of an Israeli retaliatory strike, Iran has already “identified all of its targets” in Israel for a counterstrike, which will be more destructive than its Oct 1, missile strike
The documents seem credible and their disclosure suggests that elements in the U.S. DoD are not happy with Israel’s plans. Which would have involved drawing the U.S. into a wider war to fight on Israel’s behalf. Was the leak intended to prevent this?
“Nothing is going to stop an Iranian retaliation if the Israeli regime strikes. Moreover, Iran still hasn’t used its best missiles … It is still using older missiles and older capabilities because it does not want the Israelis, or the Americans, to know their capabilities”
As it prepares to answer Iranian missile strikes with its own, Israel has reportedly requested another THAAD battery to fend off further anticipated retaliation from Tehran
With U.S. troops being sent to Israel to man THAAD missile system, the U.S. has put down a tripwire and demonstrated its complicity in the widening war. Former U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Chas Freeman explains
Top Iranian general warns that Tehran possesses a ‘secret weapon’ that is more powerful than a nuclear weapon
Tehran warns the U.S. against joining Israel in its conflict with Iran, as all U.S. forces in the region are within range of its weapons
The IDF is no longer seen as the world most ‘moral army’. That illusion is over and the world is finally standing up to Israel.
This doesn’t auger well if Trump wins in November. He’s not even in the White House yet and the Iranians are already being set up as a problem to be dealt with
This is not something Israel can accomplish alone. It will require U.S. assistance in air-to-air refueling, satellite intelligence etc. Depending on the extent of the damage wrought by the Israeli strike, the U.S. is setting itself up as a target for Iranian retaliation – which is EXACTLY WHAT NETANYAHU WANTS
“We are on the march to a regional war that could go global”, says Douglas Macgregor. “The Russians are well prepared to fight now. They are stronger militarily than they have been in 30 years … the Israelis are determined to hit the Iranian oil facilities and once that happens it will bring in the rest of the actors who are opposed to Israel”
Persian Gulf countries have now promised not to allow their territories or airspace to be used in any possible strikes on Iran.
