“Fuel tankers have been destroyed by America and more recently, Iran. These ships take a long time to build – if you want good ones. They cost between $100 to $200 million (US) per ship and that price is much higher now because mining of ore and coal requires diesel. Also, refineries have been destroyed or damaged. These take time – sometimes many years – to rebuild.
When the Iran war resumes there’ll be massive destruction by Iran of desalination plants in surrounding countries, leading to dehydration deaths.
Fertilizers and plastics come from oil and gas refining. There aren’t any. This impacts farming and food supply – big time. Think starvation, mass migration, with forests and jungles being destroyed to supply the food fertilisers once did.
Diesel is inflation on wheels. Then there’s interest rates and especially for Americans, economic destruction via tariffs.

Dear Henry,In 2017 I advised that “Trump is the Harlequin”. You published it. More recently I was informed that political journalist, Alain Duhamel described Trump as a “dangerous harlequin”.
