Garrison Vance – Natural News Sept 10, 2026
President Donald Trump said Wednesday, Sept. 9, he believes the war with Iran will end “immediately” after the U.S. midterm elections in November.
Trump told journalists that Tehran “can’t hold out any longer” and accused the Iranian government of being “desperate to try and affect” the vote [1]. The remarks came as the conflict approaches its sixth month, with no clear end in sight and oil prices rising as a direct consequence of hostilities in the Strait of Hormuz [2].
The president’s prediction ties the duration of the military campaign directly to the domestic political calendar, a statement that raises questions about the administration’s war objectives and the timeline for de-escalation. Trump also linked the rising price of oil to the conflict, stating that prices will come down after the elections [2].
The war, which began with U.S. strikes on Iranian assets, has expanded to include Iranian attacks on shipping lanes. Tehran recently announced that it targeted 10 vessels near the Strait of Hormuz, including two U.S. warships [1].
The Political Timeline and Military Strategy
Trump’s statement suggests the White House may be calibrating military operations around the electoral calendar. Reports indicate that Secretary of State Marco Rubio has informed allies that the White House is not preparing new attacks on Iran and will instead focus on enforcing sanctions against the Islamic Republic [1].
This posture aligns with an apparent strategy to maintain a low-level conflict that preserves the status quo until after the midterms, though analysts note Tehran will have its own ideas about escalation [1]. The president’s comments, reported by multiple outlets, came in response to questions about the trajectory of the war [3].
Trump said, “I think the war is going to end immediately after the election,” repeating the assertion on multiple occasions [3]. The midterm elections, set to determine control of Congress, are scheduled for Nov. 5 – roughly two months from the date of his remarks [3].
Democratic Criticism and the Six-Month Mark
U.S. Democrats have made Trump’s foreign policy a central issue as the Iran war reaches its six-month milestone. In a coordinated campaign, Democratic leaders slammed the administration for dragging out the conflict, using the phrase “No end in sight” to characterize the military engagement [4].
The criticism comes as initial reports indicated no U.S. casualties in recent exchanges, though Iran had not yet confirmed the full extent of damage or casualty figures at the time of reporting [4]. State media in Iran mentioned civilian deaths in some areas, including an incident at a wedding ceremony in Hormozgan Province [4].
The Democratic messaging strategy frames the prolonged war as a failure of the administration’s foreign policy approach. The White House did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment on the Democratic criticisms [4]. The political pressure comes at a time when public attention is increasingly focused on the economic consequences of the conflict, particularly rising fuel prices that the president has directly attributed to the war [2].
Wider Regional and Historical Context
The current conflict sits within a broader pattern of American military engagement in the Middle East that has drawn criticism from observers who see parallels with past interventions. Critics argue that the belief that overwhelming firepower can force sovereign nations to comply has defined American foreign policy for decades, a perspective that some say describes the Trump administration’s war with Iran [1].
The regional dynamics extend beyond the immediate U.S.-Iran confrontation, with historical significance attached to the Strait of Hormuz as a critical chokepoint for global energy supplies [1]. Moreover, the conflict has also drawn in regional actors with their own interests. Israeli leaders have made clear their perspective on the war, with statements describing the toppling of Iran as a central mission [1].
These regional dynamics complicate any immediate end to hostilities, as multiple parties have interests that extend beyond the U.S. electoral calendar. The Trump administration has reportedly sought to keep things “quiet” related to the Iran war and Strait of Hormuz leading into the elections, according to sources familiar with the strategy [1].
Economic Consequences and Oil Prices
The president has repeatedly blamed rising oil prices on the war, stating that prices will not come down until after the midterm elections [2]. This direct linkage between the conflict and global energy markets has become a central element of the administration’s public messaging about the war. Oil price fluctuations have been driven by disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, where Iran has targeted commercial vessels [1].
The administration has described its approach to Iran as an “economic D-Day,” signaling an emphasis on sanctions and economic pressure alongside military operations [1]. This dual-track strategy aims to degrade Iran’s capabilities while simultaneously pressuring its economy, though the effectiveness of this approach remains unclear as the conflict continues into its sixth month.
Conclusion
Trump’s prediction that the Iran war will end “immediately” after the midterm elections represents a significant statement about the administration’s war timeline and its relationship to domestic politics. The president’s framing suggests that Iran’s capacity to sustain the conflict is nearing its limit, though the six-month duration of the war and the ongoing attacks on shipping suggest otherwise. With Democrats making the war a central campaign issue and oil prices rising, the electoral stakes of the conflict have become increasingly clear.
The coming months will test whether the president’s prediction proves accurate or whether, as critics suggest, the war has no clear end in sight. The administration’s reported strategy of maintaining a low-level conflict until after the elections, combined with Iran’s demonstrated capacity to respond, creates significant uncertainty about the trajectory of the war.

This Orange man should audition as PINOCCHIO for the upcoming Christmas PANTOMIME at the Alhambra theatre in Bradford, He’s piss it & never was a character more suited to the role….
It’s also noticeable that as Iran attacks the US navy and other military assets, in revenge the US is striking unarmed Iranian tankers.
So Trump realises he’s lost this war but can’t say so until after the next election. Lots of people say voting doesn’t matter but the stupidity of fighting a lost war demonstrates that sometimes voting does matter. Shady money (since legalised) may pay for political runs and decide what’s important but in the end politicians have to get the votes. And Trump’s Republicans might not get enough this time. Western voting is rigged so mostly it can’t make a difference but sometimes it still can–even if it’s just which of two shades of sh!t you choose. That makes a difference to the politicians, so if sometimes we can go hard on them then maybe next time they’ll go a little bit easier on us.
How brazen. The Americans start another war of plunder both for Israel and oil & gas hegemony threatening to destroy the place, and Trump is promising to “win” by the midterms. Sure, we have the perfunctory protests around the West and in the US against the war, as with the war in Iraq, but most Americans will be placated if there is a promise of a “short war” without the cost of too many American lives, or too many trillions of the debased and ever inflating dollar.
No, there is never a thought that the Israel and its designs are PURE EVIL and the oil & gas in a civilized world based on law and trust belongs NOT to the Jews, the Rothschilds, the EU, the Brits, or to the Americans but to the Iranian people.
Yes, the Americans can say they are puppet nation like most other nations of the international banking cartel, and their Jewish masters happen to be running their nation and not their patriotic selves. Yes, they can blame the the Jews and doner class all they want, but they also know very deep down that their government and their military as well as all of the complexes in control, including their entire corrupt establishment, is acting principally in the interests of the US in whatever sordid deals they make with their Jewish, Israeli, and Rothschild handlers. The American people are an equally amoral and duplicitous lot and that is mainly why there is such a tight fit between the US and the state of Israel. What makes something right is simply what they want. If you oppose their will to defend what you own then they simply rub you out.
Listen to the sick propaganda spewing forth from the US into our nations, holding out Iranians who fled Iran after the people of their nation united and took back control of their nation after kicking out the Shah and our plundering nations. These Iranians in Canada are now saying that based on their contacts with friends and relatives in Iran that the people are very unhappy and that the government has become very repressive. No one asked, “Well who made them that way? Was it not mainly the US and Israel with all of their efforts to take back control of Iran since the says of the Western puppet monarch, the Shah of Iran? Dose not such external attacks to divide and conquer and nation cause internal efforts by the government to keep the nation united and sovereign?”. No, never such a thought. It was the same line for the Syrians who fled the Assad government. Never a thought, as to why the governments in Syria or now in Iran had to suppress the so-called “freedoms” which were being exploited by the very outside forces to cause dissent and revolution. No, never a thought, because it they thought about anything, or knew how, they would not be able to live with their shame and their guilt. They never consider that all of their own nations’ destabilizing, sanctioning, infiltrating, paid insurgences, assassinations, and other efforts to overthrown the governments of Syria and Iran, FORCED the governments to PROTECT themselves and their NATIONS from those very EVIL CRIMES being perpetrated by our nations in their nations. In effect, if the people feel somewhat oppressed or unhappy then the CAUSE is most certainly from the outside greedy nations causing it. However, to think rationally as to cause and effect that is not allowed these days by our TOTALLY CORRUPT ruling establishments. At most we are only given half truths.
Causation only brings to the fore actual facts, reason, and moral principles, and blame, and we certainly do not want to play the blame game and feel guilty, do we? That would not be Kosher, and American mainline thinking is essentially like saying: “We can always go in a rebuild a place we have blown to smithereens and patch up all of the wounds with our money, and as for the people who are dead, well want can they say? They no longer exist. We must only think now in terms of mediation, and look at mutual interests and one party’s ability to sustain them. There is no such thing as “fault”. Things just happen. Wars like this just happen. They just evolve from many conflicting interests, and it is conspiracy theory to think they are planned. The forces of the economy and human appetites are not easy things to control and there is no real point in looking at an endless chain of causation. If a war gets too uncomfortable then we simply have to make a better effort to end it one way or the other. Yet if we win it, we will most certainly put to death all of those who opposed us.”
Right and wrong for the Americans regarding Iran comes down simply to the question of whether or not they can conquer Iran and carve it up the way they are carving up Syria and the Ukraine. If the rest of the world wakes up and tells the Americans and the Jews to FO and other nations keep trading and assisting Iran, then to most Americans and Jews that is a total justification to make economic war on all nations which to not toe the USraeli line to conquer Iran. To them, no one is at fault. It is all a matter of might being right.
After all of their long-term plans and all of their brazen, ruthless and criminal efforts to destabilize and overthrow the Iranian government, and then starting the war resulting in unexpected Iranian resistance, the people of USrael say “Oh my gosh, the Iranians are now in control of the Strait of Hormuz and preventing oil and fertilizer fueling the rest of the world. How dare they do that. We will ensure that no Iranian tankers get out as well, and it is up to us now to save the world from oil shortages and privation, and any nation that helps Iran we will make economic war on them.”
That is the level of their thought. Never a question as their deliberately starting the war against the nation they have been besieging for decades, a war they started this year causing the Iranians to actually fight back to DEFEND their nation and THEIR PEOPLE from the DESPICABLE PLUNDERING & GENOCIDES of USrael. That is the state of mind and the very limited hindsight of most Americans who hold their noses and look the other way regarding not just all of the crimes their nation perpetuates on the rest of the world, but also in their own nation in which any crime or vice which makes money is legalized and becomes institutionalized with cum-laude latte in their decadent culture, which they spread everywhere they go.
As for their top-down, “need-to-know”, higher-pay grade people in the USrael chain of command, they are even more amoral, and to justify even the most heinous of crimes like endorsing Israel genocide and ethnic cleansings, any excuse will do to the public for the war against Iran. Despite the evidence right after their 9/11 caper that Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Iran were on their list as nations to conquer and occupy, and that every one of those nations opposed the Israeli efforts to snuff out the Palestinians, and despite all of the evidence of the Muslims was right that the Jewish “final solution” for the Palestinians was extermination, as clearly revealed to the entire world by the genocide in Gaza, the Americans and Jews think that no other people or nation had a right to help the Palestinians defend themselves and their homeland. The Americans and the Jews simply think that if they have the power, that despite any laws, conventions, or moral norms of right and wrong they can walk into anyone’s house and kick them out, but if the people fight back to defend themselves then they ought to be destroyed.
What has to happen is that every nation which wants to live in a world based on law, trust and good will, has to unite in support of Iran and to condemn the US and Israel. This means they will have to buck the Rothschild central bank system, the IMF and the BIS, and form their own independent economic and military alliances, because as we have seen with the regime running the US there is no hope of anything else, or anything good or honest coming from that nation. Like Israel, the US is simply a nation run by crooks and gangsters for crooks and gangsters. They are now completely exposed for what they are, and they have to be delt with in the same manner they have dished it out to other nations, or we are all finished.

Your comment has merits.
While acknowledging that Jews and Israel dominate the USA, in reality we have to consider that they are actually both birds of a feather, too. And that one of them has to prevail over the other. Both are gangsters, and one of them is the alfa gangster.
They have both the same mentality, didn’t the nascent USA genocide the native indigenous people the same as the Jews and Israel “perform” a genocide in Gaza today? We are witnessing a nascent Grater Israel. It’s all the same.
In Europe it is similar, the ruling classes frequently were of evil mentality, and Europe is well known for its many historical fratricidal wars.
So, they naturally associated themselves with Jews who were of the same evil mentality and disposition.
Initially the Jews were employed as cruel tax-collectors.
But Jews are restless and know no goy friends and no loyalty, they soon took over and dominated, as is occurring today.
Letting in Jews to “do business” with them is letting in the devil himself.
Jews prosper in rotten environments and white nations, by being evil and corrupt, gave the Jews the proper soil where to grow and finally take over and kill, or mingle with, the former owners.
Now the Jews are in charge.
Again we see the truth of the biblical statement “the salary of sin is death”.
