A Christian church has been reported after an online sermon shows a reverend describing Judaism as a ‘demonic cult’, before adding that ‘absolute loads turn to Islam. No. Your view about Christianity is all wrong. If anything it has tempered human rapaciousness and greed. The aim is the Golden Rule with promise of heavenly rewards for striving to live by it and by God’s two-fold law of loving him with all you got and your neighbor as your self. Sure, the slope is very steep and we are always slipping, but unless one keeps trying then at least you are not a hypocrite.
What else is out there? In second place, you have the Silver Rule of not doing to others that which you don’t want done to yourself, which is at least attainable if you have belief and the grace in trying for the Gold.
Thirdly, and in the absence of these rules of higher values, you have the Iron Rule under which the entire doner class is running USrael and the rest of the West. It says “Do unto others as you like, and treat those beneath you shit.” It represents the laws of might makes right, selfishness, and authoritarian control, rather than the restraints of reciprocity, empathy, and personal freedom.
Any person, religious creed, or national constitution with a narrow neighbor principle is destined ether for destruction or a very unhappy ending. Both the US and Israel are signatories to the 1945 and 1948 UN sovereignty and human rights conventions, which were mainly inspired by Christian values. However, both nations in their ruthless me-first, might-makes-right basic values have ignored their promises, and in doing so they have become the authors of their own destruction.
No one is saying they have to give their wealth away to poorer nations. All we are saying is that they should at least strive to live by the Silver Rule.
