I’m often accused of being “stupid”, because obvious facts are, well, obvious, so I don’t state them out loud.
For example, would you say to someone: “Don’t go near the edge of that cliff” and then add “because you might fall off”?
Well, the reason trump doesn’t “walk away” from the cliff of the “iran war” is because if he did, it would all go back to what is was before wouldn’t it? All those boats would be sailing back and forth as they used to in the “good old days”.
