Over the Fourth of July weekend, Washington DC found itself beset by the “Patriot Front”, about 400 guys in matching outfits, with white balaclavas covering their faces and waving flags about.
The (relatively small) gathering walked about a bit, did some marching, waved some flags…and scared the press to death!

They’re not real, of course.
The running joke has already become they are barely-disguised federal agents indulging in some rather lame propaganda, even as some members of rightwing defend both their realness and their aims.
Apparently they do community projects and stuff.
Regardless, they are not real. Even if they’re not literally all FBI agents – which we can’t actually rule out – they are a psy-op to some extent or another.
Just look at them. And you can just look at them, do you know why? Because they’re all over the press and social media.
This picture in particular has “gone viral”
Several similarly themed “lone ethnic minority surrounded by faceless Nazis” pictures all sprang up at once, which is suspicious in and of itself, but this is the one that really stuck.
Both the bots and people who don’t realise they’ve become bots are promoting it all over the place. “It should win a Pulitzer prize” they say. “This photo will define our age.”
This kind of coverage, this kind of engineered viral content, is the hallmark of the psy-op, and it shows what Patriot Front (and groups like them) are really for:
Creating the illusory threat of potential fascism on the fringes to distract from very real fascism already in the very centre of power.
“You see those guys? In the khakis waving flags about? They’re Nazis. That’s what fascism is, waving flags and doing wrong think.
“Us, the people who spy on you, lock you in your house, track your movements, restrict your speech and indoctrinate your kids, we’re not fascists. In fact, we’re protecting you from the meanie fascists and their heinous flag-waving ways.”
That’s the point of displays like the Patriot Front.
They transform fascism from policy into paraphernalia. Fascism becomes a combination of outfit and accoutrements, rather than authoritarian politics.
With the implied corollary that, as long as you’re not wearing the outfit or waving the flag, you’re not actually fascist.
Even as the Flock cameras spread, digital ID looms, and authors are imprisoned for criticizing the regime.

People wearing costumes on trains aren’t the threat. Tens of millions of muslims are.
I think it had to be officially sanctioned because any actual militia getting together so publicly in authoritarian America would be met with many state enforcers surrounding them at the very least. State police, local police, FBI, maybe ICE etc. I doubt they’d let any such assembly go unmolested.

First off, there are no Nazis or Fascists at the centers of power, but Jewish supremacists aka corporate communists, or whatever you care to call them.
PF has fitness standards, so yeah, no fat boomer conservatives in PF (sob).
The PF leader, Rousseau, makes speeches from time to time, but the crowd claiming PF is a fed op never takes time to listen, from what I can tell, and I have asked some of them to do that, and been told, “No!”
Finally, PF is not a National Socialist group, though they probably ought to be. However, America today is NOT Weimar Germany, so some things do not fit, and the real American way actually is quite similar to many of Hitler’s views, which is (or was) a good thing.
Furthermore, the real psy oʻ is the canard that the German National Socialists were wicked “Nazis,” who wanted to conquer the world, kill everyone with dark hair, and make Americans and English people speak German. (English is already a Germanic tongue btw).
Anybody who believes such rot need only look into ‘Mein Kampf’ to learn otherwise.

In Britain there are a few good memes going round about Nigel Farage who was forced to resign his seat and who proposes to stand for it again. There’s one meme that’s a play on the ‘Call Batman’ theme.
He’s probably realising he should not have stood as an MP, because that’s the position for which questions of impropriety are being raised. But the side-gig was too good, he couldn’t resist it. At least £5K after tax p.m. going into a bank account; nice pension contributions; generous expenses hardly looked into; not actually having to do the work; no boss asking where have you been all week? and why isn’t constituents’ mail being replied to?; and in the general scheme of things, all compared to a £5m bung anyway, it was bringing in so little money.

IRGC strikes 85 US military targets in ‘initial’ retaliation, downs MQ-9 drone

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says it struck 85 US military targets in Bahrain and Kuwait with missiles and drones in an initial response to to American aggression against Iranian territory.
The IRGC, in a statement issued Wednesday, said the strikes hit facilities at Port Salman, the US Fifth Fleet’s area in Bahrain, and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. It also announced the downing of an MQ-9 drone, saying the aircraft attempted to interfere with the operation before it was shot down.
IRGC spokesman Brigadier General Hossein Mohammadi said that the drone was shot down over the southern province of Bushehr following overnight US airstrikes.
“Following the aerial aggression by the terrorist US military in the early hours of today, an MQ-9 drone was hit and brought down by fire from the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ air defense system over the skies of Khormuj in Bushehr province,” he said Wednesday.
The announcement came after the US launched a fresh wave of military strikes on “a number of coastal bases and non-military stations” in Iran’s southern Hormozgan province and Mahshahr, which the IRGC said “openly violated the ceasefire” and “trampled the Islamabad understanding”.
“In the initial response to this aggression, the naval and aerospace forces of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, in a joint missile and drone operation, struck 85 locations of important US military facilities at Salman Port, the US Fifth Fleet area in Bahrain, and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait,” the statement said.
The US attacks, the statement said, were an attempt to overshadow massive funeral processions in Iran and Iraq for martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, which represented a major political defeat for Washington.
“Following the epic created by the great Iranian nation in the unprecedented, magnificent and enemy-shattering funeral procession for the unique figure of the era and the martyred Leader of the Islamic nation, the aggressor US regime, whose defeat is becoming more apparent by the day and which regarded the global reflection of the massive, million-strong uprising of the proud Iraqi nation in the historic farewell to the martyred mujahid leader as an even greater defeat, once again repeated its habit of breaking its commitments.
“In a panic and in an attempt to overshadow this historic event, the child-killing and terrorist US military launched airstrikes in the early hours of this morning against a number of coastal bases and civilian stations along the coast of Hormozgan Province and in Mahshahr, thereby openly violating the ceasefire and trampling the Islamabad understanding.”
