Maire Mhic an Fhaili, 75, is seeking to judicially review both the UK government for outlawing the group and the Police Service of Northern Ireland for taking criminal enforcement action against her in connection with the ban.
A High Court judge in Belfast on Friday listed the activist’s case for hearing later this year.

Since 2020, Israeli soldiers and settlers have killed at least 1,100 Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank, at least a quarter of whom were children, UN data shows. According to the leading human rights organisation based in Israel, B’Tselem, as of March 2026, some 9,446 Palestinians were held in Israeli prisons; 4,691 of them were under administrative detention, imprisoned without charge, trial, or the ability to defend themselves.
