Disney’s newest Star Wars movie, ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ just opened in theaters. It cost millions upon millions to make the film and it is absolutely getting its butt kicked by a small, independent horror movie called ‘Obsession’ which was made for a paltry $750,000.
Of course, $750K is a lot of money, but not by the standards of a Hollywood movie. That’s chump change.
Even so, people are flocking to theaters to see ‘Obsession’ instead of Disney’s newest expensive flick.
Star Wars fans have just been burned too many times. Disney basically broke the franchise by using it to push DEI and other woke concepts.

A low-budget horror flick is defying gravity at the box office while the latest big-budget “Star Wars” movie had a rough launch compared to its predecessors.
Focus Features’ “Obsession” was made with a microbudget of under $1 million. Initial projections showed it making less than $10 million in its opening weekend. It ended up making over $17 million.
This past weekend, it made roughly $24 million — $30 million when including Memorial Day — a whopping 30% increase from its opening weekend, outpacing much bigger films like “The Devil Wears Prada 2” and the Michael Jackson biopic “Michael.” It even outgrossed “The Mandalorian and Grogu” on Wednesday.
Such a bump for a film in its second weekend is nearly unheard of. It has already grossed over $70 million worldwide and is now projected to make more than $100 million during its theatrical run, making it one of the most profitable films of the year.
What’s remarkable about the success of “Obsession” is that it proves that Hollywood star power isn’t always needed to get butts in seats. The director is a 26-year-old content creator named Curry Barker, who is part of the sketch comedy duo “That’s a Bad Idea,” which has over 1 million followers on YouTube and TikTok. Jason Blum, creator of BlumHouse Productions and producer of horror hits like “Get Out,” “Paranormal Activity” and “M3GAN,” only boarded “Obsession” as an executive producer after the film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival last year.
John Nolte of Breitbart News is a longtime critic of Disney. Here’s what he had to say about this:
To be fair, because I don’t want to take anything away from Obsession, that movie is a legitimate phenomenon, the rarest of rarities where word-of-mouth is driving it to increase its box office over time, and is doing so after launching wide. This has only happened a handful of times in the 50-year-old history of wide releases. Obsession is making box office history, and that accomplishment deserves to be recognized and not plowed under as we gloat over the failure of the groomers at Disney.
Nevertheless, Obsession’s astonishing success is its own thing, as is The Mandalorian and Grogu’s deeply satisfying failure.
If the man-hating bigots at Disney hadn’t alienated, insulted, and dismissed Star Wars fans, the piece you are reading right now could’ve been about how both movies are breaking the bank.
Disney just burned too many bridges with movie audiences. They’re reaping what they’ve sown.
Disney is owned by the tribe, It makes hundreds of billions. Most of it’s money comes from the parks and cruise ships. The next biggest comes from all the stuff that it “owns”, not least of all the “legacy” movies made when it wasn’t owned by the tribe and that they had nothing to do with making. “Losses” in gay propaganda movies are meaningless. They probably insure against it and force all the other “customers” of the insurance company to make up the loss, so they don’t lose a dime. All the insurance companies are owned by the tribe. That’s why they fake so many things they can claim insurance on.
Real Americans mourn the loss of Disney. It’s dead corpse kept “alive” by the tranny tribe and the ghouls that own and control everything.

It’s not so much that this new horror budget movie is winning over Star wars. It’s more of a fact that Star wars has just destroyed itself. When the sisterhood to control of Star wars franchise, from Lucas arts, that was it, end of. They’ve lost a massive percentage of their fanbase. But then what do you expect when you stick two fingers up at white men, heterosexuality and the western civilization?
The thing is, it’s not just Star wars but every major movie and TV franchise is plummeting downwards, every day. This is synonymous with the cultural and demographic destruction of the Western civilization. They have to destroy everything that was the West. That’s it, plain and simple.
The only movies that counts are first three. The next three that came around the turn of the millenium with Liam Neeson, Samuel L. Jackson and Jar Jar Binks wasn’t spectacular bad. They were okay but not as good as the first three. I haven’t seen any more since then nor do I care to see any after what I have learned on the internet about all this woke shyte. The best thing that could happen is if both Disney and Pedowood goes bankrupt in the near future.
While the whirled that humanity “has created” is taking its last and final breathers only morons could come up with the term “the box office strikes back”!
Huh-manity is so ridiculously used/addicted to being played by those who are schmarter ones than thou that these days hardly anyone would have it differently. In April, most Democratic senators voted against the gift of $295 million worth of armored bulldozers and $151 million of 1,000-pound bombs to Israel (it was approved anyway, with large Republican support). That was a dramatic shift. Since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023, Sen. Bernie Sanders has tabled four proposals to prevent Washington from giving or selling arms to Israel. The April vote marked the first time that a majority of Democratic senators joined him.
Clearly, Democrats in the Senate have grown increasingly uncomfortable with Israel’s disgusting conduct o Gaza and its creeping annexation of the West Bank. Yet proposals to leverage Israel’s annual allotment of U.S. assistance—$3.8 billion—to change its behavior and/or punish it predates both Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack and the election of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s annexationist government. During the United States’ presidential election cycle in 2020, Sanders proposed conditioning aid to force Netanyahu to negotiate with the Palestinians.
