The Israeli military is facing difficulties countering First Person View drones used by Hezbollah, according to a report by The Jerusalem Post.
The newspaper said Hezbollah has been using fibre optic threads tethered to the drones, allowing operators to guide them manually and avoid Israeli electronic jamming systems.
The report said Hezbollah recently released footage showing an FPV drone striking an Iron Dome battery near the northern border on Sunday.
During a visit to southern Lebanon last week, senior Israeli officials reportedly discussed several pilot programmes aimed at improving the detection and interception of FPV drones, though the newspaper said the military was still “trying to catch up in real time”.

Let’s hear where the ragheads got the fibre optic cables from. Or learnt how to do it. Or where they got the drones from. Or, best of all, why having a cable attached to it makes it invincible.
If “electronic jamming systems” can take out drones, why don’t the jews all over the world use them to stop the other jews attacking them? How does any drone ever get through anywhere?
Let’s see a raghead tethered to a drone with a mile of fibre optic cable trailing behind it.
By the way, fibre optic cable, like all cables, has a maximum distance it can transmit before it needs a booster box and that distance is way below the range of a sniper.
