Even after a two-week U.S.-Iran ceasefire took effect around April 8, 2026, the United States has continued and reinforced its military logistics operations across the Middle East.
Open-source flight tracking data shows persistent waves of U.S. Air Force cargo planes, aerial refueling tankers, and support aircraft heading into CENTCOM bases throughout March and April.
As recently as last night (April 12–13, 2026), defense monitors including @defensesignal reported a fresh “massive surge” of U.S. Air Force transport aircraft, primarily C-17 Globemaster III heavy lifters supported by KC-135 tankers, conducting sustained flights from European staging bases (such as Ramstein, Germany) toward destinations in Israel, Jordan, Qatar, and other regional hubs.

This latest airlift activity comes as U.S.-Iran peace talks in Pakistan collapsed without agreement and as U.S. Central Command prepares to enforce a complete naval blockade of Iranian ports starting Monday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m. ET.
Officials have described the ongoing movements as precautionary sustainment and resupply operations for the large U.S. force posture built up in the region since January 2026.
