Everyone is holding their breath. If Trump invades Iran, all bets are off for the world economy and nuclear war. Iran’s strategy involves holding the Gulf States and Saudi Arabia hostage. Ultimately this includes the whole world.

When our views need to change there is absolutely no requirement to defend and have recourse to secondary explanations to preserve our ego. I had believed the Iran versus USA/Israel axis was performative. My mistake was in believing the grooming of the Ayatollah – and possible MI6 links – meant this alliance was set in stone. My mistake was in overlooking the fluidic nature of international relations. I now realise it is too lazy to believe relationships are constant even if born of genuine conspiracy. I have eaten humble pie several times on this. I will need to state again a few times because going quiet when one’s views have been overtaken by events needs to be acknowledged.
Touching upon all the geopolitics is the petrodollar. This was born of the Yom Kippur War in 1973 after Kissinger had taken the USA off the international gold standard. In this environment the puppet Arab states grew rich from denominating oil sales on dollars. William Engdahl and James Corbett have commented on this with the Arabs feigning “support” for fellow Muslims by increasing oil prices – all of course to plan. The Shah of Iran was onboard with this before he fell foul of International Jewry.
We might now wonder if the international bankers are taking this opportunity to take down the dollar and fashion some new international monetary undertaking. So, are the bankers driving events in respect of currency change or simply in a position to respond to a certain inevitability of events?
My feelings are that the bankers are like gamblers on Betfair able to arbitrage outcomes. I feel that the real driver of current events is not cold dark calculating monetary machinations – secondary IMO – but hubris, arrogance, and Jewish supremacism.
This hubris is being played out. International Jewish rich men are the equivalent of owners of a football club, where that club is the American (and Israeli) political system. Any group that has promoted 9/11 and genocides in the Middle East, while causing a tsunami of migrants to descend on the First World is not right in the head. “Men” like Trump and Netanyahu while being puppets are still nevertheless important point men in all of this. One might suppose that those pulling their strings “created” these “men” their own image.

If we are honest with ourselves, as First World citizens of even modest mean, we cannot know what it is like to be a resident of Gaza. By the same token, the wealthy cannot know what it is like to live in my hometown. There is a disconnect. This hubris of leadership was once displayed by the likes of Nero and Caligula as they presided over the eventual demise of their own empire.
This break in contiguity between a nation’s leadership and the people represents a stretching of responsibilities and duties that I believe have seriously fractured nationhood in the Western world. On YouTube comments and elsewhere, I see ordinary Americans saying their government is not acting in their name.
Changing tack slightly, the break in being “one people” in the UK, say, means that the idea of all “pulling together” if conscription for a war was needed would be a forlorn possibility. I believe there lacks a dutiful working and middleclass who would be prepared to chase up the likes of the many not paying such as the TV licence and much else besides. So, the Western world has become very divided along multiple fracture lines and the plutocrats lack the good will of the middle orders of people to enforce the likes of conscription and payment of TV licences. In many ways society is like a prison camp where the guards have left but the people somehow still feel constrained to remain “inside”. The system is held together by glue, sticks, and fear.
(I use “TV licence” as a proxy term for many supposed obligations.)

And again, since I have eaten humble pie on certain matters, I must also emphasise the need for we who live on the water margins of polite discourse to keep restating the falsity of the nuke narrative.
