British cabinet minister Steve Reed said on Sunday that there was no assessment that backed claims Iran is planning to strike Europe with ballistic missiles, or that it even has the capacity to do so.
On Saturday, the Israel Defence Forces posted on social media that Iran has missiles “that can reach London, Paris or Berlin”.
“There is no assessment to substantiate what’s being said,” British Housing Secretary Reed told the BBC.
“I’m not aware of any assessment at all that they are even trying to target Europe, let alone that they could if they tried.”
In a separate interview with Sky News, Reed said that U.S. President Trump spoke for himself when he threatened to “obliterate” Iran’s power plants if Tehran did not fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.
Asked to define Britain’s position on Trump’s deadline, Reed said: “The U.S. president is perfectly capable of speaking for himself and defending what it is that he’s saying.”
“We’re not going to be dragged into the war, but we will protect our own interests in the region. We will work with our allies to de-escalate the situation.”
Did Iran launch missiles at US-UK base on Diego Garcia? Here’s what to know
UK condemns what it says is Iranian attack on airbase in Indian Ocean, but Tehran denies it carried out the launches.

Is USRael attempting to draw Europe into their illegal war with Iran? The short answer is YES! Obvious to anyone with a brain to rationalise what’s going on.
Anyone siding with the hate campaign against Iran would be deemed a terrorist in the Grand Scheme of Things; the ultimate end resulting in that more permanent State known as the Afterlife. Global terrorists siding with USRael better take heed on that more personal level!
Some sort of false flag is quite possible, but the narrative is wearing thin. Israeli is a pitcher that has been to that well once too often.
The article is from Rothchild’s Reuters of course. The headline, “Britain sees no evidence that Iran is targeting Europe with missiles,” is very disingenuous because any intelligent person would know this. It does, however, put fear in the air as to its possibility.
The notion of Europe being within Iran’s missile range reminds us of Iraq while subtly suggesting Iran is unamicable to Europe. The permissible spectrum of debate thus ranges from the USA’s – more so than Israel’s – questionable “initiative” to that suggesting that indeed, Iran can be construed as a rogue nation.
BBC reporting is very devious in terms of how it is covering the war. It positions itself in such a way as to minimise Iran’s successes while highlighting the troubles of the Jewish colonists. The BBC absolutely LOVE whenever Jews in Britain are on the receiving end; it allows them to once again portray them as the eternal victims. Suffice to say, I am unaware of the BBC ever covering the “Greater Israel” project.
A point of deviousness is that the BBC will indeed mention the genocide on Gaza and the deaths of Iranian schoolgirls – it has no choice – but without empathy, while it searches for incidents where Muslims and others scratch the paintwork on Jewish cars, or break Jewish finger nails, as part of its process of equivocation. No doubt the BBC-Zionist nexus loves all the comic book nazis and swastika incidents that come their way as well. These provide the most excellent points of leverage for their vomit to be catapulted our way.
