An Iranian Army spokesman says 220 American soldiers and commanders have been killed or wounded and significant damage has been inflicted on American assets in the region in retaliatory attacks by the Iranian Armed Forces over the past 24 hours.
The spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Zolfaghari, said on Saturday that 21 American service members were killed and a number of others injured during Iranian attacks on the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
He added that some 200 American personnel were also killed and wounded during strikes against the US military base in Al Dhafra Air Base.
The Armed Forces also targeted an oil tanker owned by the United States in the northern part of the Persian Gulf, he noted.
The US and Israel waged a fresh round of unlawful military aggression on Iran on February 28, some eight months after they carried out unprovoked attacks on the country and its nuclear facilities.
The attacks led to the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and hundreds of Iranian civilians, including women and children, as well as military commanders.
Iran began to swiftly retaliate against the strikes by launching barrages of missile and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on US bases in regional countries.
Iranian officials have said that only US and Israeli assets and interests are being targeted and that the Islamic Republic has not enmity toward the host countries and respects their sovereignty.

Iran says it captured some US troops though they won’t say (understandably) when or where from. The US denies this and says it shows how Iran lies. This from the people who say after a week of war only six servicemen have died? Aboard Air Force One Trump says Iran’s missile capacity has been diminished as they are launching far fewer, but that might just be a change of tactics. Why continue a constant missile barrage if so many targets have been struck and US bases emptied?

Four years prior, Arquette claims she had been told she had a meeting with Weinstein about a script, only to be taken up to his hotel room. He was allegedly waiting in a bathrobe and attempted to force her to touch his genitals, with the actress saying she was ‘fortunate’ to escape without being raped.
‘But, boy, was it going there and I paid a price for saying no, and later I paid a price for telling the truth,’ she added. In 2017, Arquette was one of the first to speak out against Weinstein, who has been at the centre of rape or sexual misconduct allegations from more than 100 people, with some claims dating back to the 1970s.The suggestion that Giuffre did not take her own life has been made by others close to her, including her father, Sky Roberts.Mountbatten-Windsor denied wrongdoing towards Giuffre during his Newsnight interview in 2019, claiming he had ‘no recollection of ever meeting her’.In 2015, weeks after Giuffre filed a claim in court, Epstein did not correct New York Times reporter Landon Thomas Jr. when he mentioned the alleged ‘consensual sex’ the former royal had with ‘VR’, presumed to be Virginia Roberts, which was her maiden name.
