One problem with this discussion is this: yes it’s likely that the US is ill prepared for any boots on the ground operation and that Israel is taking a worse beating than the Western media would let you know. Trump’s raging, threats and trumpeting is significant. If the war is prolonged, US resources will be depleted, Trump needs a quick fix and this is unlikely unless….they let Israel use a tactical nuke on Iran to force capitulation. “Our hand was forced.” But our commentators complacently think that not even Trump nor the IDF are desperate enough to do this. They are, and their gangland mind and tactics more or less guarantee it if victory proves beyond their grasp.
This highly dangerous scenario would obligate Iran to deploy a nuke and use this in retaliation, or else China/Russia/Pakistan will be scapegoated as the supplier and attacked too. Trump’s impulsiveness, cretinous need to be a ‘winner’ and Israeli military longing to terrorize the ideally defenceless makes it all possible.
Let’s not hear any more drivel from delusional posters who say nukes don’t exist. Nuclear power exists, radiation leaks from Chernobyl, 5 Mile Island, Sellafield, Fukushima et al. have resulted in deformities, massive cancer epidemics and death, radiation kills you, full stop.

It appears one of the new missiles Iran said it has is a missile which at altitude above a target area it deploys 80 warheads. The Israelis complain these are cluster munitions, as if those mass-murdering swine don’t use cluster munitions, but I suspect the difference is these 80 warheads explode on contact instead of lying around ready to blow up later. I don’t know this for sure because I only saw the 80 bombs deploy in the air, I never saw the result when they strike the ground, but I think Iran would rather they do their damage now than kill some kid down the line.
