Iran’s constant firing of drones and missiles has clearly challenged the United States’ ability to reach its military objectives in the country and its capability to defend allies and assets in West Asia, an analysis by the Wall Street Journal shows.
The analysis, published on Tuesday, said US military and diplomatic resources in West Asia are under mounting pressure as Iran conducts back-to-back waves of drone and missile assaults on the Israeli regime as well as on the assets of the United States in the region.
The analysis comes a day after officials at US Central Command confirmed that six service members lost their lives following a drone strike against a facility in Kuwait.
In a separate incident on the same day, three American F-15 fighters were downed over Kuwait.
Additional Iranian strikes have targeted American positions in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain, while the US Embassy in Riyadh sustained damage from a drone attack early Tuesday.
The WSJ analysis said the incidents show that the difficulty for American forces lies in countering widespread Iranian attacks across a broad geographic area while simultaneously synchronizing air defense strategies with partner nations.
Beyond safeguarding the tens of thousands of American personnel stationed regionally, the US must also secure numerous embassies and governmental facilities, the analysis said.
It quoted Ravi Chaudhary, a former Assistant Secretary of the Air Force responsible for installations, as saying that Iran’s substantial arsenal of ballistic missiles, coupled with explosive-laden Shahed drones and electronic warfare capabilities, presents a serious danger to American bases.
Chaudhary said these installations are facing an unprecedented level of threat in this conflict, as Iran has clearly shown both the intention and means to target vital infrastructure and hinder America’s ability to project air power.Furthermore, Iranian actions have effectively halted maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical passage for global oil shipment, the analysis said.
The it said the scale of Iran’s weapons inventory, particularly its ability to manufacture vast numbers of low-cost drones, suggests a strategy to outlast US forces, which are confronting a depletion of interceptor missiles for systems like Patriot and THAAD.

Scottish hacker accused of carrying out the ‘biggest military computer hack of all time’ on the US government has revealed what he found.

Gary McKinnon, 60, rummaged through 97 US army and authorities websites in the early 1990s from his girlfriend’s aunt’s flat in London. In an interview on American Alchemy with Jesse Michels aired yesterday, McKinnon said he was hunting for evidence of the UFO cover-up.
One low-quality image he saw showed a shape, ‘a big straight kind of silvery line… cigar-shaped object… smooth… no lines’, above Earth.
He said the image loaded line by line as his dial-up internet struggled, explaining: ‘There’s like blackness, then there’s like slowly a hemisphere started appearing, and I’m thinking that’s a planet.
‘This thing looked very smooth on the outside. There were no lines… no screws and bolts and stuff.’McKinnon added: ‘It wasn’t your normal space stuff, so I knew that.’
While scrolling the images, he alleged that his mouse was suddenly hijacked, saying: ‘They right-clicked, disconnected and boom, that was it. I was cut out.’
He also found a spreadsheet labelled ‘nonterrestrial officers’, referring to something that does not originate from Earth, McKinnon claimed.He added: ‘It had ship names… and… fleet-to-fleet transfers.’
McKinnon also claimed found testimony from former NASA contractor Donna Hare saying she was shown an image of a disc over Earth.
Such anomalies are scrubbed clean from any images released to the public, Hare said, according to McKinnon.
American authorities said that McKinnon hacked into US army, navy, air force, Department of Defense and Nasa computers 16.
The US claimed caused £487,000 worth of damage to computers in 2001 and 2002,
If he was convicted, McKinnon could have spent 70 years behind bars only for an extradition order , but hundreds of UFO buffs said if he was sentenced they would put everything they knew about the subject on the net, the USA had to back down, then-prime minister, Theresa May, on human rights grounds also backed off
McKinnon, known as ‘Solo’ online, stressed he never acted with malicious intent and positioned himself as a truth-seeker. He admitted to obtaining unauthorised access to US government computer systems. Asked by Michels why he did this, McKinnon said: ‘I wanted it from the horse’s mouth. I didn’t want to just believe. “I wanted to know.’

Michael Attenborough, prosecuting, said police had seen the defendants ‘frantically fiddle with a small object near the centre console’ before they were searched.
Police seized approximately 40 wraps of cocaine and 19 wraps of heroin, along with £219 in cash stored in the front passenger door, the court heard.
A search of Ferdinand’s phone showed a bulk advert had been sent out that drugs were going to be sent into the UK prosecutors said.

The term is usually applied to a group of perpetrators or individuals who use rituals as a form of prolonged and repeated torture with the aim of controlling, silencing and terrorising their victims.
