1986 was a different time, to say the least. My father was a jeweller/watchmaker who owned a small business in downtown Toronto. His wholesalers were, go figure, primarily Jewish. One in particular, was a real hipster, along with being a draft-dodger from New York City. Inherently likeable.
I can still see him entering my father’s business in late December and saying “Mr. and Mrs. S…” as he placed a small gift on the counter, “Merry Christmas!” It was a different world!

It doubt it. Evil won’t be hidden by more evil. People may not care about it because they have lost their faith but they will still be aware of the reasons behind it all. The veil has been lifted. The new divide will be those who care about the truth between those who don’t care about the truth.
Some are wondering why Iran isn’t sending bombardments of missiles but I’m hoping they’re timing this as a long-distance event and not a sprint. If they can send similar amounts every day striking targets, and in a few weeks the US and Israel have depleted their store of missiles, this rate of attack sustained by Iran and which can no longer be intercepted can cause prominent Jews to leave Israel.
I hope to God Iran does not stop their assault by thinking Israel and the US have taken enough or they’ll just be back again, and next time they may win. The time to end these two is now, or just go dig your grave because they’ll try again to put you in it until eventually they succeed.
Bruce Cockburn is excellent. I’ve listened to him since the ’70’s. That aside, I think US sailors are now fully aware of the USS Liberty and are thoroughly pissed of about it and aren’t going to fight another war for Israhell. The USS Ford is my evidence for that.
