Paul Sims, Matt Sullivan and Mike Sullivan – The Sun Feb 17, 2026

SEVEN forces are now assessing evidence in the Epstein files as part of a nationwide probe co-ordinated by a team of British police chiefs.

Their checks include up to 90 flights into Stansted’s private terminal by the jet owned by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s paedo pal Jeffrey Epstein.

Of those, 15 were after the US financier was jailed in 2008 for soliciting underage sex.

Essex Police are now examining flight logs and emails.

Ex-PM Gordon Brown said messages contained in the Epstein files linked Andrew, 65, to at least one victim who was flown into Stansted on the “Lolita Express” before being sneaked into Buckingham Palace.

Late on Tuesday, Essex Police said: “We are assessing the information that has emerged in relation to private flights into and out of Stansted Airport following the publication of the US DoJ Epstein files.”

At least six other forces have either launched criminal probes or are assessing evidence within the files’ three million pages.

They include the Metropolitan Police, Surrey, Thames Valley, Norfolk and Bedfordshire.

Wiltshire Police are said to be assisting the Met’s probe into disgraced peer Peter Mandelson, accused of leaking information to Epstein when Business Secretary.

Cops have raided two properties linked to Mandelson — one in London and another in Wiltshire.

Thames Valley Police said they were liaising with prosecutors over similar claims against Andrew when he was UK trade envoy from 2001-11.

The force are also examining allegations that a woman in her 20s was sent to the UK by Epstein in 2010 for a sexual encounter with Andrew at Royal Lodge.

Andrew quit the Windsor mansion this month for Wood Farm, Sandringham.

On Tuesday, a laundry van was seen arriving there, and visiting his future residence Marsh Farm.

Surrey Police are seeking access to unredacted files relating to a child abuse claim against Andrew and Epstein’s jailed lover Ghislaine Maxwell.

The allegation was contained in an FBI report written in July 2020 and included in the Epstein files.

Bedfordshire Police are understood to be looking at Luton flights.

Norfolk Police said they had not received allegations but were reviewing documents in the files “to ensure that all relevant information has been properly assessed”.

Meanwhile, the Met said they were in contact with the FBI as part of their Mandelson probe in a bid to obtain unredacted documents.

A specialist group has since been set up by the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) to co- ordinate operations and liaise with US law enforcement officers.
