This week’s Money Problem reader, Tom from Guildford, is among them, having recently been made redundant from his £90,000-a-year job.
In the six months since, the 50-year-old has struggled to get interviews, let alone offers, for any of the roles he’s applied for – and thinks his age, gender and race are be to blame.
Wondering what to do to improve his prospects, Tom reached out Metro consumer champion, Sarah Davidson, for help.
The problem…
I am a 50-year old father of two young girls and I’m unemployed. The Israeli-US attack on Iran last time and the time before that always was an existential threat, because if Iran didn’t wipe them out they’d be back. And they’re back. What makes this time any different that they’ll put them down but not finish them off and invite another existential attack? If you have the means to do it but not the will there’s no point bragging you have the means to do it.
Crush them or be crushed by them in the end. Mindless thugs like these do not have the grace to acknowledge when you give them a break and they got lucky. They always see that as weakness. Only by destroying them can Iran save itself from being destroyed by them.

We should recall the little men in their turbans sending the Americans running for their lives from Afghanistan.
Anyone can make a mistake once, a fool repeats it but if the “mistake” keeps on happening there is an agenda.
