Yesterday, in an underreported story, 57 Republican members of Congress joined Democrats in voting down an amendment that would have repealed Joe Biden’s mandatory automobile kill switch.
“Kill switch” you ask? What is that all about?
In a back-page article Fox News casually reports:
“Fifty-seven Republicans voted with the vast majority of Democrats on Thursday to keep a Biden-era mandate enabling government remote control of vehicles, drawing backlash from conservatives like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.”
Government remote control of our vehicles? In America? This should be the biggest screaming headline of the day, and yet most Americans aren’t even aware of it.
Fox further reports:
“The group voted to defeat an amendment proposed by Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., that would have rolled back government requirements for the development of a ‘kill switch’ to disable the cars of impaired drivers.”
Massie’s amendment failed by a vote of 164-268.
Ah, but it’s only for drunk drivers, the propagandists tell us. It’s for our safety!
“The idea that the federal government would require auto manufacturers to equip cars with a ‘kill switch’ that can be controlled by the government is something you’d expect in Orwell’s 1984,” DeSantis said, referring to the fictional novel by George Orwell warning more than 75 years ago of a coming global totalitarianism that would include the Western “free” world.
Where did this Orwellian legislation originate from, you ask?
You may recall that one of former President Joe Biden’s landmark pieces of legislation was his nearly $1 trillion infrastructure bill, passed by Congress in 2021.
It was hundreds of pages long, and buried in that bill was a measure that requires automobile manufacturers to include a remote kill switch in all new vehicles made or imported into the United States starting in 2026.
I’ve been waiting to see what the Trump administration was going to do with this provision calling for a mandatory kill switch.
Yesterday, the answer was received, loud and clear. They’re totally for it.
The amendment to kill the “kill switch” was offered by Rep. Massie, a Kentucky Republican who Trump hates and is trying to defeat in this year’s primary election.
Massie stated in a post to X:
“Unfortunately, the amendment I offered to defund the federally mandated automobile kill switch did not pass. 57 Republicans joined 211 Democrats to defeat it.”
Massie is one of a small handful of Republicans in Congress who actually cares about the people and preserving what’s left of our freedom.
The others call themselves “conservatives,” but what, I have to ask, are they actually preserving?
Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who was run out of office by Trump in the first week of this year, posted a blistering comment on X directed at Trump, writing:
“And pretty much all 57 of those Republicans are endorsed by President Trump. ‘But Thomas Massie is baaaddddddd!!!!!’”
Here is the list of the 57 Republicans who support the government, insurance companies and God knows who else having a back door into your vehicle with the ability to shut it down without your permission or acknowledgement. All they have to do is claim that you’re “impaired” while offering no evidence in a court of law, just an AI algorithm that is “monitoring” your driving habits.
This is just the latest major piece of evidence that Trump is not a true conservative. He is not for individual freedom as enshrined in our Constitution. His policies advance the surveillance state and what will ultimately become a full-on technocracy.
Come to think of it, when have you ever heard Trump talk passionately about the importance of our Constitution, separation of powers, the Bill of Rights, or any checks and balances on federal power? When asked last week by a reporter, he said the only check on his power is what’s in his own mind.
If the federal government can claim for itself the authority to render your vehicle inoperable, then I would submit there is almost nothing it can’t claim as a power over we the people. Automobiles represent our freedom of movement, and the freedom of movement, along with the Bill of Rights, is what makes America different than most of the countries of the world.
But that America is fading away, in warp speed. We are under assault from all angles by an unchecked, out of control federal government. And it doesn’t matter if we have a Republican or Democrat in the White House. The march toward a totalitarian society just keeps moving forward.
Just like Biden’s Ukraine war has now become Trump’s war, Biden’s remote kill switch just became Trump’s remote kill switch. They’re all the same.
Below is a model resolution from Liberty in Action Texas calling for the repeal of this surveillance-state legislation now having the force of law, thanks to Trump and his GOP cronies in Congress.
Whereas, the Biden Administration’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) directs the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) to issue a rule that requires new passenger vehicles to have ‘advanced drunk and impaired driving prevention technology’ by 2024; and
Whereas, this requirement amounts to a vehicle kill switch mandate as early as 2026 and Section 24220 of the IIJA requires all newly manufactured vehicles to be equipped with technology to passively monitor driver performance and to prevent vehicle operation including using eye movements, real-time breath detection, hands on steering wheel and lane position; and
Whereas, this technology’s stated aim is to detect ‘impaired’ drivers (which is not defined in statute), enabling the federal government to track every American’s vehicle (in order to know if a person is suspected of being impaired) whether or not the driver is actually drunk or impaired, this technology will allow surveillance of American citizens without a warrant, destroying our right to privacy, instituting unconstitutional tracking, and other civil rights violations; and
Whereas, a kill switch can pose frightening safety concerns cutting off power to a moving vehicle, posing grave risks to both the driver and other cars in order to get a vehicle safely parked on the side of a road, and could cause drivers to be stranded, alone, and vulnerable on the side of the road with a totally disabled vehicle among a host of other dangers,
Whereas, 31 states allow for court-mandated ignition interlock devices (IID) to prevent drivers from starting their car without first passing a self-administered breathalyzer test, there is no need for another federal mandate.

Get yourself an older, small car that is easy to maintain and learn how to look after it. I myself have two cars. One is a 1978 little sports car and the other is a 2013 small hatchback. Both a doodle to run and maintain.

I’ve thought for a long time the elitists may want oil for themselves as it becomes more difficult and expensive to extract, and their bought-and-paid-for minions are under orders to keep ruinous militaries running which also require vast amounts of fuel. I can imagine some like Jeff Bezos being so rich yet still so greedy he would ask Trump what’s the point of him paying $500 million for a yacht but fuel’s becoming limited because nearly every hoi polloi has a car? He will object to paying $20,000 dollars to fill the tanks when he could be paying just 18 or even 17K.
And kill-switches lend themselves towards the ultimate control, 15-minute cities. Trade and barter and other exchange can happen outside digital cash but living or operating independently outside a 15-minute city seems less likely. Maybe the plan is to restrict individuals from driving at first (which some mugs will agree with) but I suspect the ultimate plan is to pull the switch on all one day. Those able to bypass the switch will be guilty of what will be made a serious crime.

Yes, there are not “kill switches” everywhere.
We (meaning “we the people”) are being replaced not just through the top-down depopulation and anti-family and anti-child policies, together with the contradiction of the top-down immigration invasions to fill the vacancies, but also by the same top-down ruling class through technological revolutions. Increasingly, they are making humans more redundant, and taking away all of the controls we have over our lives, one after another. It is all parcel of systematically making most people into debt slaves so that they have no real independence, and if they do manage to get their heads above the shit level, then systematically their meager savings and precarious assets are threatened with top-down generated fear, uncertainty and doubt, as well as endless top-down generated volatility and taxes.
We are even losing control over our automobiles, all coming from the same top-down order which gave us Covid and the toxic vaccines. In British Columbia (it should be renamed Northern Columbia because of the drug trafficking) they have driverless vehicles back on the road. A big semi pokes along the highway without any drivers in it, and you can see that even truck drivers are going to become redundant. But don’t worry, the machines just like the low-cost workers in China, will do all of the labor-intensive scut work, which no one really wants to do anyway. If then you are out of work to join the growing number of unemployed redundant and replaced, then don’t worry the government will take care of you. Right?
Well, how do they take care of you? You are either given some meaningless job in the Ministry of Funny Walks, while they bleed to death with taxes the remaining people who are actually working and doing something useful, or if you are totally dependant on the government, you find that your pokey or pensions are insufficient to pay rent and at the same time buy food. If then you find yourself on the street and still drawing on the public purse, they make sure you have a very uninterrupted access to the kill switch of drugs, or if you are in health care and draining the system they give you the kill switch of MAID – medically assistance in dying.
Oh but “they” do not have enough revenue to feed and provide for everyone? Who is “they”? It is the government which is the tool of the top-down order who see most of us as redundant and useless eaters anyway, and who envision a world in which only the “chosen”, or the really bright and beautiful people coming from some kind of hatcheries, will be entitled to live, provided that they are not replaced by machines which can perform their functions better.
“kill switch”? If they can shut off your car through receivers or the GPS and the computer in your car, then they have hacked your car, and not only the ignition switch but also all of the controls, and they can kill you in an “accident” any time they want, just as they can cut off accesses to your bank accounts or cancel your employment if you do not comply with or conform their their top-down mandates and designs. Their control-freak agencies have been doing that now for years. They just want to make their powers more “legal”, or you know more “new normal”, based on the pretext that they ought to be able to shut off your car if they deem it will “make you safe”.
Trump, Musk, and all of the puppet politicians and plutocrats in our nations fully endorse the technocratic usurpations of our basic rights and freedoms. Control of your vehicles is no different with respect to our basic rights, than the controls they plan through digital currencies with full supervision of all of our financial affairs being monitored and controlled by the technocratic and corrupt surveillance state, which each one of these lying bastards are promoting for the benefit of the top-down Controllers.
We all have “kill switches” which are triggered when the oppression and injustices become intolerable. They, therefore, want to suppress disclosure of the facts on very issue central to our vital interest and to kill free speech. They are leaving us only one solution if we are to survive.
Of course Chump and a bunch of treasonous Repugnacunt degenerates, let alone the utterly deranged Demonrats, are for such a draconian regime overreach as it gives those jackals more power over you and yours.

Another victim was allegedly targeted by a priest accused of sexual assault, in a scandal engulfing the incoming Archbishop of Canterbury.
This alleged victim, a Church of England clergy member whom The Telegraph is referring to as Survivor O, claims that the priest confronted them, while fully naked, and sexually propositioned them.
The revelations threaten to pile more pressure on Rt Rev Dame Sarah Mullally, who is to be appointed as Archbishop of Canterbury next week, after she was accused of covering up separate complaints against the same priest.
in the first case, an alleged victim, known as Survivor N, claims to have been groped and asked to perform a sex act by the priest.
Dame Mullally who admits to being an ” unrepentant lesbian” and was allegedly once a man, has her own past ghosts

The priest also allegedly invited Survivor N to his flat and proceeded to change clothes, which involved stripping down to his underpants, before talking about his sex life. He allegedly suggested there was a “sexual attraction” between himself and his young guest.
Survivor N complained to the diocese of London, headed up by Dame Sarah, as the Bishop of London.
He claims she then failed him by claiming that his complaint against the priest was “fully dealt with”, and also by previously sending a confidential email about the allegations directly to the priest accused of the sexual assault in a cover up.

The first 27 arrivals were transported to the site in the early hours of Thursday, escorted by police. Subsequent movements suggest the number of residents at the camp is rising, although the Home Office has refused to provide a running total or speak of any criminal convictions
Residents have poured onto Crowborough’s streets every Sunday since the announcement, sometimes in their thousands, carrying banners and flags. Many express concern about safety, the lack of planning consultation, and the effect on local children. Some have installed private security measures; local firms report a surge in demand for cameras and alarms.

Longtime resident Phill Straker highlighted the risks to his family: “My grandchildren play in the garden. It’s a fantastic space, but you can’t leave them as you would have done.” Security measures have been increased at homes near the site.

Crowborough Shield has raised £93,000 via crowdfunding for legal action, though there is no cap on potential costs, and the Home Office is seeking £35,000 in fees. Mrs Bailey and co-chair Alex de Warrenne say their own homes could be at risk if the legal challenge fails.
Despite personal upheaval, including a recent divorce and her youngest child leaving for university, she says the experience has strengthened her ties to the community.
As the legal challenge progresses, Mrs Bailey remains the determined face of a town united in concern over governments racist decisions made without consultation.
She said: “This situation has changed the lives of a lot of people. I’ve made some lifelong friends – and we’re not backing down.”
