Finland said Monday it will raise the reservist age from 60 to 65 next year to strengthen the country’s military preparedness towards any threat posed by neighboring Russia.
Defence Minister Antti Hakkanen said the reform, which enters into force on January 1 after being signed into law by the president, will result in an increase of 125,000 conscripts over five years.
“The number of Finnish reservists will be around one million in 2031,” Hakkanen said in a statement.
Finland’s reserve currently comprises around 900,000 citizens, and the eastern NATO country has a wartime strength of 280,000 soldiers.
“This and our other measures to bolster our defense signal that Finland ensures its security now and in the future,” Hakkanen said.
Military service is mandatory for all Finnish men when they turn 18 and voluntary for women in the Nordic country of 5.6 million.
Conscripts may serve between six, nine, or 12 months depending on their training.
The new age limit will apply to those liable for military service when the law comes into force.
Under the new rules, the availability of conscripts will be extended by 15 years for enlisted personnel and by 5 years for non-commissioned officers and officers.
Finland shares a 1,340-kilometre (830-mile) border with Russia and ended decades of military non-alignment by joining NATO in April 2023, just over a year after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Helsinki closed its eastern border with Russia in December 2023, suspecting Moscow of orchestrating the arrival of migrants to destabilize the country.
Better were of course to raise it to 120 and send all over 60 immediately to the front…

Before the political caste in Finland allowed the country to be annexed by NATO and install NATO soldiers and armaments, the boot of no foreign soldier had been in the country since autumn 1944 when it asked for an armistice with the USSR and expelled German forces after its collaboration with them during 1941-44. Lesson learned? Should have been.Finland was never a Warsaw Pact member nor NATO satellite and its neutrality earned respect & trust around the world. Except in Amerika where they coined the abusive phrase ‘Finlandization’ meaning any country not totally under US occupation is a potential threat- think Greenland today..this sparked off an inferiority complex in Finnish conservative circles.
After the early years of this century the border between Russia and Finland was heavily de militarised with offensive weapons well back from the frontier zones on both sides, mainly policed by border guards, wire and dogs. Relations between the countries expanded, trade, energy, minerals property buying, stability. This did not please the political caste who longed to be ‘free’ and part of NATO.

The outgoing President Niinistö -a weak vain little man- instead of mobilising the Finnish Army, declaring armed neutrality and stating that Finland would defend its borders from any attack from Russia OR NATO and would ask for assistance in the event of attack by one from the other; Niinistö harnessed the media and experts in a 24/7 blitz that NATO was the only way, period. He was greatly assisted in this by woke poster girl Sanna Marin as PM, who now works for…. the Tony Blair Foundation in London for an undisclosed salary, go girl! All other views were blocked, the promise of a referendum was shelved and all political parties and MPs agreed to being annexed by NATO. Nobody was allowed to present the dangers of doing so, the huge cost in money, the military occupation and take over by US generals. The truth is the political caste whereby consensus is a tyranny with nearly all parties in govt and identical in policies and outlook VINO Variety In Name Only, believed that NATO would destroy Russia and Finland could benefit in the looting of Russian assets, as it had toyed with during NAZI collaboration times 1941-44.

The failure of NATO in Ukraine has led to a manic doubling down of the media and politicians with Russophobia being a litmus test of acceptability, all other forms of ‘racism’ are in true EU fashion disapproved of and punished accordingly. Now commentators say Putin will transfer all of his army to the Finnish border after the war in Ukraine is over, this is of course ludicrous delusion of grandeur. But it has some truth since Finnish politicians now want to buy 90 F-35 planes, get more NATO attack systems installed and even long for nukes, they’ll make it an inflection point and don’t care if they destroy the country in the process, the madness of despots with a death wish cult.
The cost in money, loss of autonomy, crippling energy price hikes, damage to the economy due to sanctions that bite the EU more than Russia, Green insanity and rising poverty and job losses loom very large. But the political class like Nero, keep fiddling while Rome burns with their savage conceit and delusional self importance. This caste, like elsewhere in Europe, is a canker that has been grown by Amerika to install as EU Crats continent wide.

As for the lie about Russia ‘flooding’ Finland with immigrants to destabilize the country: a few dozen asylum seekers were given bikes by Russia in the depth of winter and crossed the northern border, most nearly froze to death and many wanted to go back! Russia stated that they were following EU law that says arrivals have right of asylum, so…Meanwhile quota mass immigration as ordered by the EU goes on week after week, they apparently don’t destabilize the country as they become perma residents. Go figure….

It’s got absolutely nothing, whatsoever, to do with scaring Putin or beating him. It’s about the Jews, in charge of sending all men to be slaughtered in the meat grinder of war. They realised that the Bolshevik red Army involved too much effort, so they instead decided to take over government, by controlling banking, the aristocracy, Academia, the msm (and other major establishments) to become a parasite completely controlling that land and sending its population to its ultimatum doom.
