When police eventually raided the family’s estate in the small town of Maria Enzersdorf, south-west of Vienna, in February, they discovered a trove of valuables stashed away in secret rooms.
Hidden underneath a concrete-covered swimming pool, accessible only by a concealed trapdoor, detectives discovered 25kg worth of gold bars, watches, wedding rings, bundles of US and Swiss bank notes, and jewellery.
A £280,000 fleet of 14 cars, including an Aston Martin, two Jaguars and three BMWs, were also seized. Prosecutors valued the total assets at £7.3m. A further estimated £873,000 was sequestered in various bank accounts.
Inside the house was Mijailovic’s 29-year-old son, who told officers he was a self-employed real estate agent, and her 48-year-old ex-husband, who claimed the same. Police arrested them both along with Anna, who was later identified in court documents as Dona D and had three previous convictions for fraud and prostitution

The heroic activists say they are a “civilian border control force” aiming to “stop an invasion of illegal immigrants” coming to the UK.
They claim the UK and France are not doing anything to stop illegal migration across the Channel.
“These are people who come to France with the express intention of committing crimes and crossing to the UK to do more
They are a threat to public order,” said a spokesperson from L’Auberge Des Migrants, one of nine associations that issued a statement calling for France and the UK to take action against the group.
“The measures that are being taken [by the authorities] are totally inadequate in view of the real threats that members of these migrant gangs pose,” they added.
