Things are very bad in Ukraine right now. The former spokeswoman for Ukraine’s clearly overmatched comedian leader says things could get a lot worse if Ukraine’s government walks away from peace this time.
“Every subsequent deal for Ukraine will only be worse — because we are losing. We are losing people, territory, and the economy,” Iuliia Mendel, press secretary for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from 2019 to 2021, wrote in an X post this weekend as negotiators went back and forth in marathon peace talks.

‘Meaningful Progress’
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday told multiple news outlets that he was pleased with the “tremendous amount of progress” toward finalizing a U.S.-brokered peace deal to end the Russia-Ukraine war, but more needed to be done to get there.
As the Trump-hating BBC reported, Ukraine and its friends in Europe weren’t happy with previously leaked proposals, “seen as favouring Russia and welcomed by [Russian President] Vladimir Putin as ‘the basis’ for settlement.” Zelensky earlier said his bomb-battered country and his fellow citizens “might face a very difficult choice: either losing dignity, or risk losing a key partner” — President Donald Trump.
The Washington Post reported the leaked draft would force Ukraine to reduce its army and turn over land that Russia has not taken. That proposal also would prohibit NATO troops. U.S. officials said the draft has been updated, with Zelensky sounding more confident that “President Trump’s team is hearing us.”
On Sunday evening, the White House issued a statement describing the talks as “constructive, focused, and respectful, underscoring the shared commitment to achieving a just and lasting peace.”
“The discussions showed meaningful progress toward aligning positions and identifying clear next steps. They reaffirmed that any future agreement must fully uphold Ukraine’s sovereignty and deliver a sustainable and just peace,” the White House said. “As a result of the discussions, the parties drafted an updated and refined peace framework.”
‘You’re Playing Cards’
But some nine months after Trump and Vice President JD Vance had their come-to-Jesus meeting with an arrogant Zelensky, Ukraine still holds very few cards. As Trump told Ukraine’s president at the time, “You’re not in a good position. You don’t have the cards right now. With us, you start having cards.”
Zelensky responded, “I’m not playing cards. I’m very serious, Mr. President. I’m very serious.”
“You’re playing cards. You’re gambling with the lives of millions of people. You’re gambling with World War III,” Trump told Zelensky pointedly. “And what you’re doing is very disrespectful to the country, this country that’s backed you far more than a lot of people said they should have.”
A lack of gratitude from Ukraine’s leaders clouded negotiations for a time over the weekend.
🚨 Just in: Marco Rubio hails "tremendous amount of progress" in the Geneva talks with Ukraine and says "there are a couple of issues we need to work on."
"None of them are insurmountable," he says. "We just need more time than we had today. I honestly believe we'll get there." pic.twitter.com/9yYtSm6Bms

‘My Country is Bleeding Out’
Mendel said the European countries that have pushed Ukraine to continue the nearly four-year war have helped keep Russia’s economy running over the period. She said the European Union has pumped more than $400 billion into Russia’s coffers in energy and goods since the war began in February 2022. The EU, the journalist and author said, “has no real strategy, no way to stop fueling Russian budget or support Ukraine enough to win, no direct dialogue with Moscow, and no meaningful leverage over either the Kremlin or Washington.”
But the siren song from neocons and other warmongers has been “Russia has gained so little land.” Mendel said those arguments “sound almost childish when you consider the human cost.”
“We have lost more people in three years than some European nations have as the whole population,” the former Ukraine press secretary said.
In June, the leftist Guardian reported Ukraine had suffered as many as 100,000 military personnel killed and some 400,000 casualties. Russia, according to the publication, had recorded more than a million troops killed or injured since the opening of the war.
Another report in August showed nearly 14,000 Ukrainian civilians, including 726 children, have been killed in the war. Many thousands more injured.
“My country is bleeding out,” Mendel wrote. “Many who reflexively oppose every peace proposal believe they are defending Ukraine. With all respect, that is the clearest proof they have no idea what is actually happening on the front lines and inside the country right now.”
‘War is Not a Hollywood Movie’
It appears French, German, and other European officials are doing what they can to screw up the fragile negotiations. The Post reported that a European delegation is working on a counterproposal, which would begin territorial negotiations at the front line — not beyond it — and give Ukraine “robust, legally binding security guarantees, including from the U.S.” That plan is not likely to satisfy the Russian government, responsible for sending hundreds of thousands of young Russian men and women to early graves.
To perhaps the U.S. neocons and their good friends in the military-industrial complex that stand to lose a lot of money if the Russia-Ukraine war ends, Mendel reminded that “War is not a Hollywood movie.”
“I will never abandon the values that God and democracy both place at the very foundation of human existence: human life is the highest good, and people — living, breathing people — are the ones who must be saved,” she wrote.

East London Tory MP says Reform could win his seat at next election

The Conservative MP for Romford says he can see Reform UK winning his seat in the next general election.
He admits the day of the extremist parties are over
the Labour Tory Lib dem Green parties who would fill your country with migrant spongers are finished
Andrew Rosindell, who has represented the east London constituency since 2001, said he currently thinks “my seat would almost certainly go to Reform”.
He predicted that “the whole of Essex” could go to Reform in 2029, and the country needed “rescuing” from Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmers extremism “or whoever his successor’s going to be, the country and economy is in ruins”.
speaking to GB News, the Romford native said he could serve in a government with Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform UK, in a Conservative-Reform coalition.
“I have no problem with that,” he said.
Though Reform MPs have rejected comparisons to the Tories, Rosindell said the two right-wing parties were “already aligning” on issues such as leaving the European Court of Human Rights and curbing immigration, repatriation is a big thing coming now in politics
“kallas” says that “all reports that the jewkraine are losing are false.”
So there you have it.
According to the EU Foreign Minister, War Whore Kaja Kallas former corrupt Estonian PM, Putin is only negotiating with the USA because he is losing the war and cannot ever win it. Only by the EU applying greater sanctions and NATO supplying yet more weapons can peace be brought about.
Rather paradoxical then that she claims that Russia is a huge existential threat to Europe when it is losing the war, odd that one.
What she means is that the EU has lost all face and credibility and the rulers of it are appalled that all the money they’ve poured in there 200 billion € and counting has mysteriously vanished into the Z regime maw. What Yulia Mandel states, largely confirms this last point.
When this Yulia Mandel- likely of the same tribe as Z- pops up and posts all these sudden revelations about the dire condition of the failed state and feigns compassion for all those sent to the front by Z to die, you have to be suspicious. It is interesting that she claims the EU has continued to buy Russian energy surreptitiously at huge cost, this is likely true, meanwhile EU citizens face constant energy price hikes, inflation and fear mongering. But war as Yulia should know, makes immense riches for Those In Power.
Wonder if the girl is being groomed for a power bid by sponsors in the US or Yew Kay? She’s been ‘educated’ in the US and has had extensive media contacts there. Has top level association with the Z regime from which she is busy disassociating herself. If she is sincere, then good and OK, but knowing the innate corruption of that country, now made far worse by this manufactured war it all sounds doubtful. The problem for the puppet master of Ukraine is now what to do about Z? He is very tenacious in his grip on that faucet which allows cash to flow into the country for he and the oligarchy to siphon off. He has been lauded as a brave model statesman by the EU bar Hungary & Slovakia. His neo Nazi backers in Ukie are not likely to let him flee to Britain or Tel Aviv either. Other obstacle, Putin obviously and absurdly wants Z’s signature on the peace deal/surrender document.
Maybe the answer lies with what Stalin allegedly said “End of the man, end of the problem” Or get a new glossy female leader to wow everybody? Start of the woman start of the problem……

Fireman sacked for allowing firemen to say ‘fireman’ loses unfair dismissal case
Story by Telegraph reporters • 1A senior fireman who was disciplined because he did not call out his colleagues
for using the word “fireman” has lost his unfair dismissal case.
Simon Bailey, 58, was nearing 30 years of service when he was handed a written warning for not challenging colleagues’ “sexism” because he was “old fashioned”. This led to him suffering poor mental health – which eventually led to him leaving the service in September 2023.
After taking his case to an employment tribunal, on Tuesday the judge confirmed that the sanction he had been given was “reasonable”.
In July 2021, there was an incident at an Avon Fire and Rescue Service station between a female firefighter and a male crew manager. The firefighter – Sasha Acheson, a former England rugby player – complained to Mr Bailey about her manager’s language. This led to him suffering poor mental health – which eventually led to him being forced to leave the service in September 2023.
After taking his case to an employment tribunal, on Tuesday the judge confirmed that the sanction he had been given was “reasonable”.
The use of the word fireman was disgusting unpleasant and racist
in July 2021, there was an incident at an Avon Fire and Rescue Service station between a female firefighter and a male crew manager. The firefighter – Sasha Acheson, a former Lesbian England rugby player – complained to Mr Bailey about her manager.
It was judged that the manager had been “mildly aggressive” in his tone and appeared “shell shocked” by her complaints.
Miss Acheson claimed he had “treated her like a ‘probie’ [someone on probation], not respected her, belittled her and put he
She also said she complained about the “frequently” used term “fireman”, which she said was “outdated” and “an ongoing example of sexism in this brigade
Her complaint added: “I have challenged the term fireman, with a smile and a groan, every time it is spoken, however, on one occasion a firefighter on my watch replied with: ‘I will stop saying fireman when they stop specifically recruiting only firewomen.”
In December 2021, Miss Acheson went on sick leave and did not return until her employment ended in May 2022 – when she submitted an employment tribunal claiming discrimination and harassment over hearing the term ” firemen ”
Mr Bailey was interviewed during an investigation into the incident, which later concluded that he should have challenged crew members using the term “fireman” rather than “firefighter”.
During an investigative interview, Mr Bailey said that the term fireman was used “quite commonly, rightly or wrongly”.
He said: “I’m old fashioned. I don’t use it, but I don’t see a problem. a fireman isa fireman”
He admitted that he never challenged anyone for saying fireman rather than firefighter – but claimed he might joke that “you can’t say that”.
At Miss Acheson’s employment tribunal, Mr Bailey accepted that the term fireman had “the potential to cause offence”, but he said the term had been “embedded” in the fire service and society in general.
Miss Acheson won her case and was granted more than £52,000.
Mr Bailey had worked for Avon Fire and Rescue Service since October 1996 and was promoted to crew manager in 2007. By 2013, he had been promoted to watch manager B – a senior position which assists in the management of the station, his record was exemplory
Mr Bailey was taken to a disciplinary hearing in June 2023 for “failing to challenge inappropriate, stereotypical, demeaning and/or offensive comment of Fireman” and was given a 12-month final written warning, but was not demoted.
After the warning, he took time off sick as he felt he had been “humiliated” by the proceedings and resigned in September 2023.
He took the case to an employment tribunal, which took place in July 2025 in Bristol magistrates’ court. There, it was judged that he had not been unfairly dismissed.
