The entertainment industry is in serious trouble. Even the liberal New York Times is panicking.
This weekend, the Times ran a story about how Hollywood can’t seem to connect to American audiences anymore. It doesn’t matter how many stars are in a movie or how much it cost to make, people just aren’t going to the movies like they used to.
Could it have something to do with all of the liberal lecturing and virtue signaling in movies today?
The NY Times piece is behind a paywall, but conservative entertainment critic Christian Toto wrote about it:

The era of the Movie Star is unofficially over.
The timing couldn’t be more prophetic. Glen Powell, an actor with Cruise-level magnetism and a willingness to please, couldn’t push “The Running Man” to the top of the box office charts. The film opened with a weak $17 million…
Why? How much time do you have? It’s easy to point to the obvious causes:
– The rise of streaming competition
– The shrinking window for films hitting VOD platforms
– The rise of consequential video game titles
– Social media
– Shrinking attention spans in Gen Z
– The pandemic fallout
And the ones media outlets won’t go near.
– Stars made themselves toxic to half the country with their political views
– Stars are, for the most part, over-exposed
– The movies just aren’t very good, in toto
– The Woke Mind Virus still infects the industry
– Hollywood has lost touch with the common man
John Nolte of Breitbart News, who often writes about movies and the entertainment industry, takes a similar point of view:
“Survive till ’25,” was the Hollywood mantra, as though the appeal and quality of the product had nothing to do with that survival.
“Is it time for Hollywood to concede that a lot of moviegoers in North America are never coming back? That movie theaters have permanently lost 20 to 25 percent of their customers?” the Times asked.
Yes, but for only one reason — which has nothing to do with the pandemic, streaming, or early releases to the home video market. And that single reason is … appeal.
If streaming and theatrical windows and the pandemic caused the worst summer box office in 44 years, why did the summers of 2022, 2023, and 2024 produce better box office results?
Like many of America’s cultural institutions, Hollywood needs new leadership.
The people running the entertainment industry are not only failing to sell new movies, they have destroyed brands that were once thought to be unbreakable,
They remake mostly the wrong films and too soon after the originals. I like the Rutger Hauer film ‘Call of the Wild’ yet they remade it less than thirty years later with Harrison Ford, who I like but I don’t care about the remake and will likely never see it.
Maybe if they were to revisit original scripts from film-noirs made in the ’40s and ’50s and even some ’30s films. They don’t have to make them in black and white but they were original good ideas adapted from novels of the time and that’s what Hollywood lacks today, new ideas. To remake one it won’t be original anymore but it will introduce new plots and character developments that haven’t been seen in decades.
People are simply sick of the queers and pedos. It’s that simple. Remember Cary Grant, Elizabeth Taylor and James Stewart? What have you got now? LOL. Remember Gone with the Wind, Hitchcock and E.T.? What have you got now? LOFL. You’ve switched stars and decency for turds and degeneracy. Much like you have everywhere else.

Another local woman, who did not give her name, said that Labour was denying people a “basic human right”, and said she felt the government was “chasing daft racist reforms” and being haters of UK folk

It is about time, this hollywood criminal industry goes down in the toilet. Most of the films especially the ones put out by pedophile speilberg around the joo portrayed as always beings victims when in fact it is the opposite – it turns out it is all lies and deceptions. We, the public now know the true history of this evil tribe as seen even today with the genocide of the indigenous Palestinians. Yes, this hollywood trash actors being told to push for the bioweapon vaccine…what a bunch of brainless idiots.
It must be remembered that the employment of capital for agendas might necessarily mean the loss of immediate profit. I mean, do the those advertisers of oven chips, furniture, and holidays really believe the featuring of mixed race couples boosts profits or rubs people up the wrong way?
Millions might be lost in one market but billions might be gained somewhere else. I have suggested that this is analogous to arbitraging on sports betting markets and is also reminiscent of how bankers back both sides in a war. This was what happened with the financing of post Versailles Germany according to Preparata. It amounted to a loss leader proposition that gambled on destroying that power by encouraging hubris that of course led to the post war Judeo-Anglo-American hegemony, including the American international gold standard/petro dollar, and the likes of the IMF.
As it is, there are those such as the (entertaining) YouTuber “Nerderotic” who have made careers out of how bad Hollywood and the BBC are. Of course “how bad Hollywood is” has helped the faux right movement – the other half of the dialectic that in recent years has seen the triumph of the faux left. TPTB are happy to cultivate the faux right – especially as it is useful for backing Israel.
As I see it, the motivations of millionaires are different to that of billionaires and trillionaires. The people who get millions pissing off folk with woke programming and advertising ae focused on what is in front of them rather than the bigger geopolitical picture. The wealthier you are the bigger stakes you can front up and leave hanging until the time comes to collect on the other side of the arbitrage.
Movies started stinking after the implementation of the ‘rating system’ which ‘justified’ the inclusion of audio/visual smut in varying degrees within each movie.
The ‘rating system’ doesn’t bother with warnings about perversion & deviancy & interracial ‘romance’.

You will be better off watching YouTube vids about things like common weeds that were ancient superfoods and medicines; how to build an assortment of deadly weapons from junk in your garage; and satire songs about Greta whatsherface and the like.
