Church of England ‘too slow to tackle sex abuse of kids’

The charities watchdog has accused the Church of England of being too slow to tackle child abuse.
The Charity Commission has now brought forward the Church’s deadline to introduce independent safeguarding, criticising its “insufficient urgency and pace”.
The watchdog opened a case into the Archbishops’ Council, a registered charity, in November last year following the publication of the Makin review.

The review, into the Church’s handling of allegations about serial abuser John Smyth, led to the resignation of Justin Welby as Archbishop of Canterbury who was already under suspicion
It also found that abuse carried out for decades by Smyth, a barrister and Christian camp leader, was known about and not acted upon by various people and leaders within the Church, in fact the church has been rotten with homosexuals as far back as we can remember.
