  4.  » Is Netanyahu in the U.S. to Finalize Details For More Strikes On Iran?

News Commentary – Sept 29, 2025

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is currently in the U.S. where he is scheduled to meet with President Trump.

According to most mainstream media outlets, this is to discus plans for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Or so the BBC and The Independent would have us believe.

However, this website thinks that talk about a ‘ceasefire in Gaza’ is just a diversion. The real reason for Netanyahu’s U.S. visit and his meeting with Trump is to finalize details for a forthcoming Israeli/U.S. military operation.

The two countries seem to be quietly putting the pieces into place for another round of air strikes on Iran.

They have little choice. As far as Zionist zealots and MAGA diehards are concerned Iran’s power is growing and the longer Israel waits to confront it the more difficult it will be when or if does.

For though it sustained substantial damage from Israeli air and missile strikes in June, Iran was able to recover and retaliate. It was this that ultimately forced Israel to negotiate an end to the 12-Day War.

However, the war was far from over. In the months that followed both sides have prepared for a resumption of conflict.

Even as Netanyahu and Trump were meeting in Washington around one dozen U.S. aerial refuelling tankers crossed the Atlantic to be positioned in airbases in the UK and the Middle East. The last time U.S. refuelling tankers flew in such numbers across the Atlantic was in the days before U.S. bombers struck Iranian nuclear facilities.

As the aerial refuelling tankers were redeployed President Trump and U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth were getting ready to meet with hundreds of senior U.S. generals and admirals.

Were they to be briefed and prepared for the next round of U.S. air strikes on Iran?

Previously, the U.S. had used negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program to set up Tehran for Israel’s June 13 strikes.

Iran’s expectation of further nuclear negotiations had been used been to lull it into complacency.

Is a similar ploy being used to lure Iran into dropping its guard again with all the talk of a U.S. brokered Gaza peace deal?

If so we don’t think that it will work. Iran has learned its lesson.

On Sunday Tehran warned the U.S. that any Israeli strikes could trigger a full-scale war, not just with Israel but with the U.S. too.

In the past few months Iran has been rebuilding its air defences, with Russian and Chinese help. So that it is better equipped to face U.S. and Israeli air strikes than it was in June. So that this time U.S. and Israeli air strikes may face top of the range Russian S-400 air defence systems, new and upgraded Mig-29s and new Chinese J-10C fighter jets.

On paper it looks formidable enough but whether Iran can get its pilots, ground crews and air defence personnel sufficiently well trained to face more U.S.-Israeli air strikes remains to be seen. Ed.
