Revealed: West End’s phone theft hotspot streets as numbers of London crimes soar

•The 30 most plagued streets for phone theft and muggings in London’s West End have been revealed, as a former Metropolitan Police officer says
“foreign criminals are just laughing at the law”.
For anyone wishing to get stabbed, Oxford Street, Europe’s busiest shopping precinct, topped the list with 6,539 reports last year – nearly 18 a day.
Next was neighbouring Regent Street as 2,075 phones and hand bags were stolen between January and December 2024.
Shaftsbury Avenue and Charing Cross Road in the capital’s Theatreland and Wardour Street came third, fourth and fifth with 1,032, then 946, and 929 thefts respectively.
Scotland Yard revealed Westminster’s “repeat streets” for mobile phone thefts in response to a Freedom of Information request.
It came as Bridgerton actress Genevieve Chenneour says “almost every woman feels on edge in London” after being forced to move out of the capital after an attack
so many women are groped and assaulted, mostly by migrant gangs
A recent Met crackdown deploying targeted patrols and plain-clothed officers in hotspot areas led to 292 arrests in just two weeks.
But ex-Met Detective Chief Inspector Mick Neville questioned why Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley isn’t flooding the West End with police when some streets see multiple crimes almost every day.
Mr Neville nearly fell victim to a phone snatcher when one tried to take his mobile outside Charing Cross Station three months ago. Luckily, the thief didn’t get a proper grip of the device.

A few years ago, I came out of the closet and announced that I had African American Fatigue Syndrome. Nobody much noticed it at the time; a few people chuckled, and a few more shouted “racist!” Now Black Fatigue is all the rage. It’s encouraging that more people have finally stopped holding their tongues about a “forbidden” topic.
But a new malady is upon the land. Perhaps not a Biblical plague, but an intellectual impatience that can no longer grin and bear it. Something was triggered in the U.S. population when the Artist Formerly Known as Kanye West suddenly became the world’s foremost admirer of Adolf Hitler. Black podcasters like Jason Whitlock and the Hoge Twins became emboldened and started freely discussing the disproportionate power that Jews- who constitute only two percent of all Americans- wield in this country. Thanks to the histrionic Israeli partisan Ben Shapiro, who fired her from Daily Wire, Candace Owens has now become the daughter David Duke would have had, if he’d been on the down low with a soul sister. Many Blacks have long distrusted Jews; I know, I worked with hundreds of them as a young blue collar college dropout. And now all that historical mistrust is bubbling to the surface.
