The Kremlin said on Friday that Estonia’s stated readiness to host NATO allies’ U.S.-made F-35A stealth jets, capable of carrying nuclear weapons, posed a direct threat to Moscow.
Estonian Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur told the Postimees news outlet on Thursday that Estonia – which borders Russia and is a rotating base for NATO jets tasked with protecting Baltic airspace – was ready to host nuclear-capable jets if necessary.
“If some of them, regardless of their country of origin, have a dual-use capability to carry nuclear weapons it doesn’t affect our position on hosting F-35s in any way,” the outlet cited him as saying.
“Of course we are ready to host our allies.”
Pevkur was speaking after Britain, a NATO member, announced it would buy at least 12 F-35A jets capable of carrying nuclear warheads and that they would join NATO’s airborne nuclear mission.
Asked about Pevkur’s comments, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said such a move would be an obvious threat to Russia.
“Of course it would be an immediate danger,” Peskov told a journalist from Russia’s Life news outlet. He said the statement was one of many “absurd thoughts” voiced by politicians in the Baltic region, which comprises Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
“We have practically no relations with the Baltic republics because it is very difficult to make them worse,” he said.
Those three states are part of the old USSR. NATO is inside old Russia. The NATO states fighting inside Ukraine are conducting hostilities inside the old Russia. Russia has not stepped outside its old boundaries. The SMO is a Russian civil war, just as it would be a US civil war if Texas was fighting the Union for secession.

To counter this growing realism behind the Nazi agendas, the Baltic states and others, need to jack up the fear and of course, there are huge risks, because Russia might just destroy all the airfields in in these Baltic states and even these F35’s.
Just as Russia launched its 110% legal SMO in UKraine. Under the same international agreed provisions, Russia would be legally entitled to hit these threats.
I can tell you now, Nazi Amerika won’t do a thing. They might agree to the UK doing something, but the US wants things kept at barge pole distance.

LOL. Why the misleading statement? Before Finland and Sweden joined the North Atlantic Terrorist Organization, NATO could argue that those “neutral” countries, along with Russia could attack a NATO member. Now NATO is not “protecting Baltic Airspace, it is attempting to close it to Russia.

The poster “Cathar” on another article, referencing the Van Allan radiation belts, reminded me of something I’ve been meaning to mention. I know this particular article is about planes as delivery systems for “nukes” but I’ve been meaning to float this observation about the radiation belts and ICBMs. Regular readers will know I’m one of increasing number of folks who believe nukes are BS.
NEVER mentioned are the delivery systems – the so called Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles. DO THEY ACTUALLY WORK? Other than cruise missiles, rocket missiles trace a parabola. The farther the target the higher they have to go up.
WRT to the radiation belts I wonder how the stream of particles affects guidance systems. We know of course that the German V2s hit England from Western Europe. Not a great distance in terms of what has since been claimed. Interestingly, functionality of ICBMs was claimed early. The “Minuteman” dates from 1959.
We have all seen the launch of a Polaris missile from a submarine. The thing is, of one looks for a missile landing, I dunno – say a few thousand miles away – there is no footage to be found. Apparently it is “classified”. I understand the American claimed to have launched an ICBM that landed in the Indian Ocean or something like that.
This for me is where the questioning of Space flight claims intersects with claims for missile technology that in turn adds another dimension to “nukes”…
