Iranian state television says a ceasefire in its war with Israel has now begun, following a night of missile strikes.
Israel’s ambulance service says at least four people were killed in overnight strikes, with footage from southern Israel showing extensive damage to what appeared to be a residential building.
Sirens sounded in several areas – and members of the public who received an alert were ordered to take shelter – with explosions heard over Tel Aviv.
Early on Tuesday morning, US President Donald Trump declared: “The ceasefire is now in effect. Please do not violate it!”
The message on Truth Social followed a series of posts on Monday, in which the president declared that a “complete and total ceasefire” had been agreed upon between the two countries and would begin at approximately 5am UK time.
In a post on X, Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi, confirmed that Tehran “has no intention” to continue its response to Israel – provided it “stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people”.
Israeli media reports suggested Benjamin Netanyahu was also on board – provided Iran stops firing missiles towards the country – but there has been no official confirmation.
Mr Trump had written: “Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World.
“On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both countries, Israel and Iran, on having the stamina, courage, and intelligence to end, what should be called, ‘THE 12 DAY WAR.’
“This is a war that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will!”
In an interview with Sky News’ partner network NBC, the president said it was a “great day” for the US and the Middle East – and a “wonderful day” for the world.
“I’m very happy to have been able to get the job done. A lot of people were dying, and it was only going to get worse. It would have brought the whole Middle East down,” he said.
Mr Trump said he thinks the ceasefire is “unlimited” and is “going to go forever” – adding: “I don’t believe they will ever be shooting at each other again.”

I’ve spoken to a diplomat involved in the fast-moving developments of the past 12 hours.
The diplomat, speaking on condition of anonymity because they are not permitted to speak publicly, told me that Donald Trump called the Emir of Qatar yesterday evening.
Trump told the emir that he had a commitment from Israel that it would cease its attacks on Iran. Trump asked the emir to try to secure the same commitment from the Iranians.
The Qatari PM and vice president JD Vance engaged on the details of what they hoped could be achieved.
The Qatari PM then spoke to Iranians (it’s not clear who within the Iranian power structure the Qataris spoke to, and my source wouldn’t say). The Iranians agreed to stop their attacks.
Shortly after, Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi posted the confirmation, saying: “The military operations of our powerful armed forces to punish Israel for its aggression continued until the very last minute, at 4am.
“Together with all Iranians, I thank our brave armed forces who remain ready to defend our dear country until their last drop of blood, and who responded to any attack by the enemy until the very last minute.”
My source could not comment on the complex timeline (six hours, 12 hours, 24 hours) laid out in Donald Trump’s Truth Social post, but it’s thought that this might have been overtaken now by agreements made by Trump, the Israelis, the Iranians, and Qatar. Time will tell.
It’s clear from the tone of the messages I have had from various sources that the pace and style of the developments of the past 12 to 24 hours have left even these seasoned diplomats startled.
Messages from several Middle Eastern diplomats have included emojis reflecting exasperation, surprise and bewilderment.

But there may be some substance to all this being a pantomime … the Iranians not only sent a few decrepit missiles towards an empty base, which has been empty for over a week, they relayed the exact trajectory of the missiles to the Qataris, according to both Iranian and Qatari officials, so that the missiles could easily be intercepted.

The Americans obviously warned the Iranians they would be targeting the alleged “enrichment” sites in Iran, giving the Iranians enough time to clear the bases. The Iranians bombed a deserted US base in “retaliation”.
We also know that at least some of the missile attacks on Tel Aviv were fake and either Israeli or Iranian fireworks. Why would they want to exaggerate anything during such a time? Why would they want to make the peril to Israel seem even greater?
During Covid many skeptics showed the death numbers were being grossly exaggerated by the leading Western nations of the US, the UK, France, and Italy and that the entire GLOBAL operation was being bankrolled most likely by the international banking cartel approving “QE infinity” for all participating nations. The evidence is that the op had been planned for over 10 years before its execution. There was no reason for the lockdowns or any vaccines for the actual threat of the US bioweapon virus, which only really threatened with any serious symptoms the very frail and highly vulnerable, which was a very small percentage of the population, and who in most jurisdictions were systematically and uniformly denied the known and very inexpensive proper treatment protocols to save them. Then the vaccines were proven not only to be entirely useless to stop the spread or to actually save any lives, but actually to be toxic and highly lethal for uncountable recipients.
The only sustainable rationale for such a long-planned operation was the same as for the global warming hoax. It was one more deliberately created but very-controlled fear-porn peril to usher the masses into their UN Agendas and technocratic control grids, giving us a globalist tier of control-freak government well out of our reach for an effective controls of our own. They have been planning the implementation of their so-called “New World Order” for over 45 years, during which time they galloped ahead to make virtually every developed nation a surveillance state, with rigged elections, “selected” globalist leaders to head up every major institution, while they also herded migrants into our nations, threw open our borders, and have even been setting up even a financial collapse, with even perhaps with a global cyber attack all to chime into their 2030 scheduling. Any fool ought to be able to see by now that the initial “sustainability” goals of the UN Agendas in the works are only pretexts for the covert globalist controls over virtually everything. The Covid evidence has proved this theory to be absolute fact.
Also, the only plausible overall purpose of the Covid crimes when examining the Pandemic preparations and the antics of frontman Mr. Gates all though the entire operation, was not just to make over 20 to 1 returns on the vaccines which he many others did, including Mr. Trump. The profits were only perks for their services. The actual DARPA jackals, directing traffic so very carefully, were instruments of the planners using a host of psyops to usher in their “new” technocratic controls, and it was even said during the Plandemic that the mother of all perils to actually do the job became apparent which was not Covid, but some orchestrated peril much greater, and which could only be the “threat” of a nuclear WWIII which we are getting right now, shoved up fool-hardy asses.
Even if people such as Col. Macgregor are earnest and think they are telling the truth, then how could he be so free to speak out using all of his military credentials at the time of such a “thereat” of a major war. If Saudi Arabia, Joran and Egypt are so compliant with the Israeli “genocide” compared to Iran, then is it fear that keeps their leaders in check or is there some great promise of vast riches to flow into the Mid East with the development of the BRI (silk road) through Iran? If so, is not Iran also promised by the bankster cabal even greater riches.
Have 1.5 million Ukrainian soldiers really been killed in the war against Russia as Col Macgregor says? How do we know? What we do know for sure is that the Ukraine in being carved up. There is no demand from the US or the rest of the West that Russian forces move back to its pre-2022 borders with the Ukraine, or that the Western powers would also go to war against Russia. Although, the US-led West started that war they are fully content to sacrifice the Ukraine.

Why is it that as predicted in February 2022 when the Russians did “invade” the Ukraine (after the lying Zelensky government did everything possible to provoke the invasion) that the entire operation smacked of a “DEAL” between the US-led West and Russia – for Russia to get those 4 Ukrainian “oblasts” (territories) on its western border in exchange for getting out of Syria. Why is it that, like clockwork, as soon as the Russians occupied those territories they abandoned their support and protection of the Assad government and vacated Syria? Was that just a “coincidence”? Why is it that the Ukrainians are still fighting with their crippled forces those terrible Russians who are encountering little resistance? Is it that the West has decided to give the Russians more of the Ukraine up to the Dnieper River in exchange for Russia backing off from its alleged commitments to Iran?
Are “multipolar” NWO Russia and “multipolar” NWO USA really joined at the hip? Are we now in one more huge orchestrated peril, the mother of all perils, of the “threat” of a WWIII to usher the people of all nations under the umbrella of the superpower NWO to “make them safe”?

I have to congratulate you on taking the straw man fallacy to heights never seen heretofore. The U.S. dropped thousands of incendiary bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki creating firestorms which were seen by Japanese survivors. No phantom nookler weapons needed.
