Israeli settlers gather to block the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza

Israeli demonstrators on Wednesday escalated efforts to choke off the already restricted aid supply into Gaza, as the territory remains under total siege by Israel.
Protesters shut down the Karem Abu Salem crossing, the only functional entry point for humanitarian aid to demand a complete stop to relief shipments into the devastated enclave.
According to Israel National News, the protest was organised by far-right movements Tzav 9 and Miluimnikim – Generation of Victory,” who claim aid deliveries undermine Israel’s war effort and benefit Hamas.
The demonstration came after 93 trucks were allowed through the crossing a day earlier, a number still far below what humanitarian agencies say is needed to avert famine.
“This is an unimaginable injustice,” declared Reut Ben Chaim of Tzav 9. “We cannot remain silent while this harm to our hostages continues. The people of Israel will come and stop this atrocity and the strengthening of a terror group.”
Israeli reserve soldier Ashriel Machlev of the Miluimnikim group added: “This isn’t humanitarian – it’s national suicide and it’s humanitarian ammunition… We will be here every week – hundreds of reservists ready to physically block this madness.”
Israel faces growing international condemnation for its stranglehold on aid to Gaza, where health officials warn of looming famine and the UN has described conditions as “catastrophic”.
A new Channel 13 survey has revealed that over half of Israeli respondents – 53 percent – oppose allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza, even as conditions in the besieged enclave continue to deteriorate and the UN warns of deepening famine in the strip.

A member of rap group Kneecap has been charged with a terror offence, the Metropolitan Police said.
Liam O’Hanna, 27, who performs under the stage name Mo Chara, has been charged over the displaying of a palestinian flag at a gig at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, north-west London, on November 21 last year, the force said. O’Hanna, of Belfast, was charged and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 18, the Met said.
Officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command were made aware on April 22 of an online video from the event, which showed him holding up a flag, the force said.

The case has now been brought to the attention of Mr Rubio, the Telegraph can confirm.
Last July, hours after Axel Rudakubana went on a knife rampage at a Taylor Swift-themed holiday club in Southport, murdering three little girls, Connolly went on social media platform X to express her outrage.
She posted: “Mass deportation now, set fire to all the f—ing hotels full of the b——s for all I care, while you’re at it, take the treacherous government politicians with them. I feel physically sick knowing what these [Southport] families will now have to endure. If that makes me racist, so be it.”

Connolly deleted the post less than four hours later by which point it had been viewed 310,000 times.
She was arrested on Aug 6 dor speaking out following widespread riots across the country over the stabbing attack.
Connolly, who has no previous convictions, also sent another tweet commenting on a sword attack, which read: “I bet my house it was one of these migrant invaders.”
The Court of Appeal judges said they did not accept that the original 31-month sentence was “manifestly excessive”.
The judges also said they did accept that Connolly had entered her guilty plea without fully understanding what it entailed.
The intervention comes as Sir Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister, has been forced to defend his record of free speech which has become a point of tension with Trump administration officials.
