Of those victims, 75 percent of them are under 30, and 36 years of age, but migrants hanging about outside schools

I suspect Starmer may have sold out Britain to the EU a few days ago so MPs in the House of Commons would have something else to concentrate upon at this Wednesday’s Prime Minister’s Question Time. They would not have questioned him about the latest events surrounding him personally, because most MPs do not question another’s moral failings, because just about all of them have a personal weakness that could be raised in a counter attack in a taut exchange. They needed something political to focus upon, because if there’s little else in the news some people would be astonished there were no questions asked about the Starmer fires, so giving away Britain again may have been to deflect from those awkward silences.
