Labour is being tipped to plunge towards a catastrophic defeat in a key mayoral race after a disastrous poll predicted it could slump to third behind Nigel Farage’s Reform. The election for the new mayor of Cambridgeshire seemed to be a close fight between former Peterborough MP Paul Bristow, for the Tories, and Labour’s Anna Smith.
A Labour Together survey in March previously put Sir Keir Starmer’s party, which is defending the seat, on 27% compared with the Conservatives on 31%. But a YouGov poll conducted from April 9-23 now puts Labour on 15%, with Nigel Farage’s Reform UK surging into first place with 25%. Mr Bristow – whose campaign pledges include ditching Cambridge’s planned congestion charge and bringing free parking to Peterborough – now appears to be comfortably ahead on 32%, according to the poll.

For nearly 60 days, Israel has blocked all food water and medicines from Gaza. Palestinians struggle desperately to feed their families
For nearly 2 months, no food, fuel, medicine or other item has entered the Gaza Strip, blocked by Israel. Aid groups are not allowed in to distribute food.
Food convoys are regularly raided by the IDF
Markets are totaly bare. Palestinian families are left struggling to feed their children.
In the sprawling tent camp outside the southern city of Khan Younis, Mariam al-Najjar and her mother-in-law emptied four cans of peas and carrots into a pot and boiled it over a wood fire. They added a little spices, in shat was essentially grass soup. That, with a plate of rice, was the sole meal on Friday for the 11 members of their family, including six children. Many have already died of starvation

Once again a couple big honking events rear their hypersonic heads. The U.S. designed, built and flew 199 test flights in a Manned hypersonic rocket aircraft (X-15) in the 1960s. Some with ramjet/scramjet small prototype bodies attached. More than 60 years ago! They also designed, built and flew three unmanned hypersonic ramjet/scramjet aircraft (X-43A) in the early 2000s. Three test flights the last (2004) approaching a speed of mach 10. So if the high tech cutting edge pudding was there 60 years ago even a bonobo might dare think they still can and do and maybe even have a couple new type aircraft up their sleeves. Underestimating the demons isn’t the way. Not by a long shot.

Israeli jets struck Beirut’s southern suburbs Sunday marking the third Israeli strike on the area since a ceasefire took effect in late November.
A huge plume of smoke billowed over the area after the bombings, reports of casualties are still coming in. the Israeli military said that it was targeting dissidents and thier families in the Hadath area and, two more strikes followed.
Also Fighter jets were heard over parts of the Lebanese capital before the strike near the Al-Jamous neighborhood, as families fled in panic.
