A high-ranking commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) warns that the US forces in the region are sitting in a “glass house” and should avoid “throwing stones at others.”
Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the IRGC’s Aerospace Division, made the remarks on the sidelines of ceremonies to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, in Tehran on Monday.
“The Americans have 10 [military] bases in the region, particularly around Iran and 50,000 troops based in there,” Hajizadeh said.
“This means they are sitting in a glass house; and when one sits in a glass house, one does not throw stones at others.”
The top IRGC’s comment come after threats by US President Donald Trump to bomb Iran if it refuses to reach “a new deal”.
On Saturday, Trump said Iran will be bombed if it does not make a deal with the United States.
“If they don’t make a deal, there will be bombing,” he said in an interview with NBC News. He also threatened to punish Iran with what he called “secondary tariffs.”
In a post on his X account on Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said US President Trump’s open threat of “bombing” the country is an affront to global peace and security.
“An open threat of ‘bombing’ by a Head of State against Iran is a shocking _affront_ to the very essence of International Peace and Security,” Baghaei wrote.

It’s Trump’s lies about “the deal” that irritate me. They are not deals they are threats to do as Trump says or else you’ll get it, which he then says is the deal. If Russia doesn’t agree to a ceasefire (all while he says he’s stealing Greenland?) then Russia will face extra sanctions. If Ukraine won’t give the US its minerals he’ll attack them–so, instead of invading Ukraine themselves to steal the minerals, America used Russia as a proxy to destroy Ukraine and kill its people so American companies could swoop in like vultures? Parents have told GB News that toddlers are being kicked out of nurseries across the country over transphobic views.
Sally and Nigel Rowe appeared on the programme to discuss their experience after removing their six-year-old son from a Church of England school.
The couple were warned their child could be considered ‘transphobic’ after he was ‘confused by a boy wearing a dress’ in 2022.
The Rowes now like millions of others home-school both their children on the Isle of Wight.
The Rowes pulled their children out of school in 2016 and 2017 after one of their sons came home confused that a boy in his class had begun inconsistently wearing a dress and identifying as a girl.
They received what they described as a ‘cold’ letter from the headteacher and chair of governors.

It also warned that refusing to use a transgender pupil’s adopted name or appropriate pronouns would be considered ‘transphobic behaviour’.

Nigel Rowe told GB News: “It seems to be happening up and down the country. This is insane. How do three-four year-olds have the ability to make a decision like this?”
He added: “The problem isn’t the children, it’s the adults. Who is pushing this perverted crap in society? It’s absolutely crazy.”
