Overwhelming majority of Israelis support proceeding to the second stage of the ceasefire agreement and reject the Israeli prime minister’s policy of resuming war against the besieged Gaza Strip.
Almost half of the respondents to Israel’s KAN News poll recently published felt that Israel should further advance negotiations on phase two of the ceasefire and captive release agreements with the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.
Only 9% supported resuming military operations even at the cost of leaving the remaining Israeli captives in Hamas custody.
About 34% of respondents supported the framework pushed by the US, which included extending the ceasefire and releasing half the remaining captives at the start. 13% responded that they were undecided.
Israel has blocked humanitarian aid entering Gaza, leading to fears of food shortages in the besieged Palestinian strip.
Rights groups have warned about the devastating consequences of the blockade of Gaza with the UN World Food Program (WFP) saying that its food stockpile will only last two weeks.
The Tel Aviv regime says Hamas must agree to extend phase one of the ceasefire, reneging on the agreed-upon deal between the two sides.
Israel’s Channel 12 television earlier reported that the regime’s army plans to resume the Gaza war in the next 10 days.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, a great benefactor of Israel, has issued what he calls “a last warning” to Hamas to release all Israeli captives held in Gaza.
Hamas has repeated that the resistance group will not accept the extension and stressed that the process should now proceed to the second phase.
Hamas says no Israeli captives will be freed without a ceasefire deal, dismissing Trump’s threats against the resistance movement as worthless.
Senior spokesman, Sami Abu Zuhri pointed out that if any threats are to be made, they should be directed at those who refuse to implement the ceasefire deal.
He said Hamas remains committed to the agreement and is determined to continue on this path. He underscored that the threats not only fail to intimidate them but also further complicate the situation.
Hamas had also earlier said that Trump’s threats will only encourage the Israeli regime to not abide by the ceasefire agreement.
The reactions came after Trump threatened that there will be ‘Hell to pay’ if Hamas refuses to release all the remaining captives immediately.
The Palestinian resistance groups have gradually been releasing captives since the first phase of a ceasefire began on January 19.
Political commentator Leila Hatoum in an exclusive interview with Press TV on Thursday said the Israeli regime was not after peace with Hamas in Gaza.
She said the regime is only buying time to receive its needed arms from the US to resume its genocide in Gaza.
Observers say Israel has failed to achieve any of its stated goals during aggression against the besieged Palestinian territory.
In an opinion piece for Ynet last month, the architect of the Israeli regime’s so-called “Generals’ Plan” to depopulate northern Gaza described the entity’s 16-month-long war in the besieged Gaza Strip as an “absolute failure.”
A retired major general and the plan’s creator Giora Eiland said that Israel had failed to achieve its aims in the blockaded Palestinian region.
Eiland acknowledges that Hamas has not only prevented Israel from achieving its goals but has also secured its own.
He further stressed that the Hamas movement had, conversely, “achieved all of its goals, chief among them: continuing its rule in Gaza.”
The plan sought to tighten the regime’s siege against the area, cut off humanitarian aid to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians inside, and label those who remained there as combatants so it could target and kill them after declaring the area a “closed military zone.”
Rights groups saw the original plan as part of a long-term project of ethnic cleansing that would result in the reestablishment of Jewish settlements in the blockaded Palestinian region.

It’s possibly the difference in perception between those who live in ivory towers and those of the man and woman in the street. Certain well known pundits stated often, that 90% of Israelis backed the genocide in Gaza.
Just shows, you never trust opinion polls, unless there’s other information supporting the opinion poll, and you never trust a pundit.
I’ve likes a lot of Ritter’s commentary, but he doesn’t grasp why Trump is doing some of the things he’s trying to do.

So far Trump has done three things. Plenty of window dressing. Tariffs that could, likely raise US inflation, and further damage the bankrupt US economy, and thirdly, he’s made WW3, a nuclear war, much more likely.
The Chinese foreign ministry has more or less offered the US out. Lavrov says Macron is behaving like a Nepoleon with nukes. Nazi UK is still hell bent on bring the Russian regime down. Keep in mind that Putin is 72 ish. I’m sure Putin has a cadre waiting to take over.
Then we have a potential €700 billion European arms race, that makes war sooner, appear more likely.
Russia has held a military tech lead for about a decade, and this why Russia should have used this advantage, before they potentially lose it.

In the early 1900s women were very much second class citizens in the UK
and a group of women got together demanding the right to vote
These women called Suffragettes were involved in various stunts to have their views recognised
Black Friday was the day in the 1908 Election campaign where Herbert Asquith promised women would have the vote if they voted for his Liberal party, and he won the election but in true politicians style he went back on his word
The women organised a march in response, and the march was met with extreme violence by police and hundreds were hurt, some were killed by police truncheon blows to the head
Emmeline Pankhurst then set the women on attacks to public property, many windows were broken
Winston Churchill in 1911 said if we allow women the vote it will be the thin edge of the wedge for even worse things.
But Churchill always the war monger set a trap for the women
he knew if the men were away at war, the women would have to do the work in factories driving
buses and lorries for Churchills coming war.
So many promises were made and indeed the women did a great job in the 1914-18 war
Churchill was notorious for going back on his word and it was not until 1928 that women over the age of 21 won the right to vote as the New World Order people had plans for the future of women
and in todays world women are at the forefront on committees in business sport and medicine
but politics and as police heads, they are indeed right at the top.

Women today have taken the place of men on building sites the military in football rugby
boxing etc, and many even look and act like men.

and women in TV ads were seen aways with a black man.

Polls are weird, maybe, since some polls suggest a majority of Israelis want the war on Gaza to continue. Knowing the truth would be nice….but those “one in ten Israelis” who want the war to continue must be “settlers,” that is, Talmudic Jews. My opinion? With many having left Israel over this war, I’d say the number of Israelis who are Jewish Supremacists is a whole lot more than “one in nine.”
