Everything that seems to go on anywhere, goes on in our minds first. Thought forms come to visit and we indulge them, so their influence gets stronger and stronger. We feed their growth energy with emotions, and… before you ever thought it could happen… you have a big whiny baby or a snarling beast looking to distract or intimidate you… at every opportunity. It’s how people turn into junkies of every kind; sex junkies… pain pill junkies… fear junkies; you name it and you can become obsessed with it if you keep going to The Well and visiting it. When you throw food over the rim… which means giving attention to whatever it is… eventually it will crawl out of that well and start taking a more active role in messing with your life.
Large portions of humanity are turning into borderline and over-the-borderline hysterics. People are yammering on about Canada going to war with America. Canada couldn’t go to war with The Falkland Islands… without Argentina’s help… and consider it a sure thing. Michigan and Montana could probably take Canada. It is not my intention to be dismissive of Canada… no matter what it sounds like. It’s simply absurd to think that Canada and The USA would be a fair contest, AND… Canadians are not like The Australians or at least like the Australians used to be. They are not like The Gurkhas. I know Canadians are a hardy bunch. Let’s face it, they… have… to… be. War is another thing. Some nations are good at it and some are not, and ALL OF THEM lose under certain circumstances.
Many times, The Dog in The Fight principle applies. If a larger dog treads on a smaller dog’s property, the smaller dog will put the larger dog to flight. Don’t ask me why this is, but I know that it is, AND… fighting a nation in their own land… when you are not native to it is another feature. Look at what Vietnam (with the aid of China) did to Big Bad America. Look at what The Palestinians on the ground are doing to The IDF. So… I suspect Canada might do very well if America were to invade and wage a guerrilla war, BUT… life is not a John Candy movie.
These are not the things I want to talk about today. I’m just being the colorful commentator… for the moment. I will soon be switching to the play-by-play announcer. It is important to always look at any situation… condition… problem… whatever… in terms of origins. How did… whatever it is… come about? It started as a thought. Everything starts out as a thought.
It begins as an outline and… repeated attention being given… it will flesh out and gain detail. If you are not careful… after a while… it will steal your car… your house, and your wife. I may be waxing metaphorical here, BUT this sort of thing is literally true. Obsession is very much like drug addiction… alcoholism or anything that gets its hooks into you. You can lose everything, AND… no matter what it is… it is all about attachment. It starts out as wanting and then… it turns into getting… then it turns into attachment. From there you find other possible roads developing, like Possession and Disappointment.
Very often you don’t want something anymore, but… you don’t want anyone else to have it either. Human Nature is not as complicated as the people… who aren’t able to fix it… make it out to be. In the modern age, there are many more people that turn out to be full of shit than was the case in simpler times. Look as you might, but you would be hard-pressed to find anyone more full of shit than a psychologist or a psychiatrist; oh sure! Dietitians… statisticians… and lawyers are certainly up there, but… the people who deal with… or try to deal with the mind… are in a class of their own.
These (cough cough) sciences are worse off now than when it was all about demonic possession. Well… a good case could be made for either perspective. I could make both cases myself but then I wouldn’t be able to stare out the window for lengths of time, which… on the whole… I find far more interesting. Yes, I could run the gamut from West African Witch Doctors to Sandbox-Jung and the symbols of the subconscious, BUT… why bother? There’s no such thing as The Unconscious (by the way). Even a rock is alive. It all comes down to deeper levels of sleep, and/or wakefulness.
People (or any life form) do not have a lot of commonality between The Sleeping Classes and The Awakened Classes. Right now… a gulf is opening up between them. There is a break happening in The Hive Mind that is not unlike the East African Rift in a geographical sense. It gets more noticeable by the day, though… it could be years before certain people become aware of it; if they ever do.
Everything in your life comes out of your mind. If you are passionately attracted to it, you feed it with your own life energy. If you are repulsed by it… it takes up residence in your head and all sorts of avoidance strategies come into play.
I live in a world that I keep at a distance. That world is filled with people either chasing something or running from something or… even more often… a combination of both. Their minds are like a video game. Millions of people spend all their time in a supermarket of mind imagery… driven by wanting… this that and the other thing. It is one thing when you are a child and reaching out for every colorful thing to put in your mouth. It is another thing when you are still doing it as an adult.
The gamut of mental illness… in The Modern World… is wide indeed. Psychopaths looking to get rich are engaged in an effort to normalize all of it, and the science end works toward making you feel good about whatever you get up to. It’s all about fabricating your own truth and living it. It’s not long before we are going to be having Pride marches for coprophagists. Oh! They already have them? Yeah… you’re right. That is so yesterday. They’ve already moved on to even more profane celebrations of self-loathing.
So… yeah… someone is marketing all of it somewhere… right this minute. Everything you can imagine and… much that you would rather not imagine… someone… somewhere… is offering a line of accessories for… to enhance every fantasy there is. It’s The Modern World. Isn’t it a wonder?
So… what I am trying to say… in my usual less-than-effective manner… is that The World moves in progressive stages from Normal… to Full-on Wackadoodle. It is the way of things and… eventually the collective disconnect of The Hive Mind… begins to affect Nature, and… Nature begins to react; keeping in mind that certain bands of lunatics are already at work geo-engineering the weather. However… the impact of millions of minds that have lost their balance… is likely to have an even bigger effect on Nature because EVERYTHING IS MIND… and everything comes out of MIND, and is formed out of Mindstuff. Exactly what God did in making this world… we do every day… in our own way… with varying degrees of success.
If you want to survive not only what is, but… what is coming, you have to get in tune with The One Mind. Certain mindsets are NOT sustainable; like those whose sexual practices give birth to monsters. The sexual fluid is the life fluid. It creates life forms on every affected plane. All sexual engagements… in the body and in the mind… create offspring.
The good news is that an emissary of The One Mind… sometimes referred to as The Avatar… is on his way to restore balance… because everything has gotten way out of balance. Still… if you are committed to seriously unbalanced behavior… you will likely not survive the re-balancing. However… since nothing dies; since everything only changes, and… within any given loop… goes on changing forever and ever, you will ALWAYS be getting another crack at it. Meanwhile… suffering will be… generally… in attendance through The Changes. Yeah… sometimes you’ll feel good… then you’ll feel bad; AND… you might get to where you don’t feel anything at all, like the psychopaths I was talking about.
There is a sweet and harmonious center at the core of your being. It is maintained by a perfect equilibrium and… you can come into a resonant accord with it. Think of it as a giant tuning fork and yourself as a smaller tuning fork. There are various systems that have been around for many thousands of years, like yoga… prayer… visualization… ceaseless devotion, and sundry, and they all work… if you are diligent in practicing them. The idea is to get in tune and to… stay… in… tune. The whole of the universe is music that is playing through vibrational variations of sound… which all come out of the basic OM…Amen… Hum; depending on how your tradition identifies it.
The manifest end is always changing and the unmanifest end is never changing. You can be harmonious in both of these, once you come into accord with the living… breathing… author of all things, who is… right this minute… looking at The World through your eyes and waiting for you to recognize his (her or its) presence in you. If you are lured to The World outside that will just go on. If you are drawn to The World within that will just go on, and… you can operate interactively… once you are in harmony with The One. Seek and ye shall find. Knock and it will be opened unto you; keeping in mind that it is already standing at the door and knocking.
If you open up… he will come in and commune with you or so I have been told, and… so I have also discovered to be true… as well, and…

There is something particularly obnoxious about being born into such a beautiful place and being treated so badly. I hate leaonard cohen, but the lyric “i love the country but i can’t stand the scene” in the song Democracy ring true.
He wrote some beautiful songs. He also wrote some of the most suicidal examples of despair that I have ever heard, and he wrote more of those than the good stuff.

When I was studying for my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, I eventually changed it and graduated with a BS in Psychology because it seemed more appropriate, as in a BS in bs. Psychology was and still is utilized in justifying murdering the non-compliant.
